The Progression of my V.1 Street Sleeper Turbo build

Spring fever in the air. Looking good man. That cage looks pretty fancy.

Get any bites on the lt10?

For those with an AWR oil pan. Take a close look at your oil pick-up. Mine was chafing against the base of the pan and actually was partially blocked as a result. A new pick-up was installed and the pan dimpled with a press to ensure no contact with it.

All of the accessible inner seams were rewelded as well to *hopefully* end the weeping oil. A modified oil pump (similar to the Doc B) has also been added so I expect no oiling issues. I'll provide more and better pics later when I have the car home.

Cage has been bolted to the chassis and the remainder "dry fit". Stubs welded in for the door bars. Now it's time for some serious drilling.

Took the car out to a Time Attack event on the weekend. I managed to get four hot laps in before I started to hemorrhage brake fluid. Found that my ABS control module basically busted a gut so that was the end of my day.

The good side...

The bad side...

Got the car back to the shop and we removed the ABS system completely and re-plumbed the lines to a conventional brake system.
As far as the track time goes... the car felt really good. Lots of power and it was well planted in the corners. Now there is still a long way to go to be competitive but this was just a shakedown, more for the driver than the car!! lol

Here's a few pics from the event...

The stall remains a mystery! Hasn't happened since. Really weird but my car is possessed so hey, .... lol
