I was making a point of watching old movies that I thought were awesome when I was younger, but for some reason I keep getting turned off... when I'm done I'm like "what the **** just happened? this is not what I remember!"
It seems like back then movies had a very simple plot, so when I watch them now I feel that there has to be something more to the story, sometimes it feels like scenes were cut out. This happened with Mad Max, I have all 3 but couldn't get past the first one. It has nothing to do with visual effects or picture quality, I actually like how they use to do all the stunts since they didn't have CGI. The acting and the writing just sucks. Most of the time I rather remember what I can than ruin the memory.
