where am i going to do it? the car is in the parking lot at work, and i only have a 1 car driveway where the motorless miata sits right now.
i dont have any knowledge of the timing chain s*** like you ms3/ms6 owners do and its not like you guys are going to come help me do it in the parking lot at work, so im still kinda in a rock and a hard place

Levi, I can come out and knock it out. I can come this weekend, let me ask my dealership guy if I can get the parts. I will get whatever we need. Can you check the chain to see if that's all that happened. Does it run really loud now? Hoping bo valves are bent.

And both cars have great positives Marlon.
I'd say I'll get video but last night I fired up the car to check if the belt tensioner was gone by putting a new one in from phen and shos suggestion, upon doing that the car reaked of fuel, ran rough and sounded horrible. I don't think it's just a chain to fix....
I really appreciate the offer Patrick, I might try to go tomorrow to pull the valve cover and check the chain but honestly my hopes of it not being fatal (for ownership on my end) are slim

They're all over the place at an autocross. A popular option in STF.

So, this weekend I made an almost 4 hr trek in the 10AE to visit some MEEPS in Tennessee. I got to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Miata on the way up as well. Scratch one item from my bucket list!

I spent all weekend painting and I'm not close to done. 3 coats of primer on the purple in Carter's room and it's ready for color. Of course while doing the primer we realized the ceiling was a light shade of purple
That took 2 coats of ceiling paint. Got the ceiling in the upstairs hall, the stairway and entry way painted, and started on the first coat for those walls. Those should only take 2 coats. Looks like I'll be painting the rest of the week. We were going to try to do the living room soon too but we've decided to hire someone for that instead.My parents painted the living room in a weekend. then they hired someone to do the rest of the house. they tapped once day and moved furniture and stuff out of the way. Next day brought a paint gun in attached to their truck with a compressor and knocked the whole house out. it was sweet and mom said she will never paint another room again. I hate painting and so does my family
