Thank you and Laurie again for all the help! $654 dollars raised!
Trying to catch up after being out of the office at a supplier all last week.
And I'm pretty sure I lost some years off my life last night.
LOL, I guess you haven't been following the World Cup?Uh oh, what did you do?
I thought you were going to say something serious like a semi truck tried to run you over in the 2. That game was a disappointment. I understand a draw being a good thing but the way it happened feels like a loss. If it were the USA scoring at the 95th minute to tie it would be completely different.LOL, I guess you haven't been following the World Cup?

and I swear Bradley had 3 different times where the ball was a foot away and he made little to no effort during stoppage. The worst being the one that led to Ranoldo's cross
Phen sent me this. I want it

We felt the same way. To come back from 0-1 against a team like Portugal only to give away a (easy) goal is just disappointing. That game was a disappointment. My wife and I noticed that in game 1 against Ghana. Granted he played better last night he still made no attempt at defense. Ever since we moved to a 4-2-3-1 (4-5-1) formation it's like Bradley thinks, "Hey, Beckerman is behind me so I don't have to defend anymore." That tying goal is directly attributed to him not putting forth any effort. Yet none of the commentators have caught onto this...and I swear Bradley had 3 different times where the ball was a foot away and he made little to no effort during stoppage. Yeah I'm nervous about the Germany game BUT our odds increased of getting out of the group and that's something I honestly didn't expect them to do so no complaints from me haha

We can only hope Portugal pulls out a (upset) win over Ghana assuming they don't win like 6-0 and we don't lose like 0-4 to Germany.
My new chant:
Let's go Portugal, but only by one more goal than Ghana!
Since they were considered the 3rd best team in the group going in I'm not too disappointed with a draw but to have 6 points and advance after the 2nd game was so close. I thought they should advance out of the group, maybe it's the March Madness mentality.
Everyone one does what Zusi did. They did add a minute because it was 4 before the substitution.I noticed the same about Bradley, he lost way too many balls through the middle due to lack of effort and Ronaldo made him pay for the last one. Gotta give credit to Ronaldo though, that was one sweet cross! I haven't heard anyone criticizing Bradley either but did read how Zusi was to "blame" for his slow exit off the field! People are saying that the ref. added an extra minute on due to him lolly gagging. I can't say if the ref did or not but every team pulls the same tactic.
Def. felt like a loss with the way it happened. I think Tam uttered more four letter words at the tv than I did and she's not a big soccer fan (just got her addicted with the game against Ghana, she wouldn't watch with me in 2010). Like you said, those 6 points and a guaranteed were sooooo close. Now I'm thankful that Germany put those 4 goals up on Portugal! Mind if I adopt your chant?
Thursday could prove interesting. We're guaranteed through with a win or a tie. Same with Germany. Makes me think the game could be very tentative. That is, both teams playing back until one starts applying more pressure.
