The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

interesting, I hate our pillows, it seems like we buy new ones about every 6 months

more expensive with the mypillows, but I've had my previous pillow for 2 years without any complaints. The body pillow seemed really comfortable, but i've only slept on it 1 night.

This is a possibility, as much as I want the ST, I haven't ruled anything out. We have other smaller projects on the list kinda budgeted for but we may just move the bathroom to the top.

with the 3 paid off im looking to buy a used fun/fast car for weekend cruising and the plan is to keep that at a reasonable price (which should allow me to pay it off in 2-3 years). drive the wheels of the 3 DD til she dies and then ill just replace the 3 with a cheap 4-6k (or less) beaters for DD use. figure if each 4-6k (or less) beater can last atleast 2 reliable years than its panned out cheaper than the current car payment i had on the 3. lol

holy s*** that is a $90 pillow! I like my sleep but damn thats half a track day...

depends on how many pillows you go through a year. I was going through 2 or 3 & $15-$20 a pop adds up.

I also got a 25% discount for having a mypillow.

i have 2 memory foam contoured pillows similar to these
with an old/flat "standard" pillow underneath to lift it to an acceptable height for me. with the 2 memory foam pillows i rotate them in and out every other month, and during that time, the one that rests firms back up. it worked well for me.

i went through a couple of those & they were comfortable to start, then weren't after a month or so. I spent more that $90 on all the pillows i was trying. Finally made it down to these & haven't looked back.

My plan is to get a new(er) car that should last 7-10 years or more with how little I actually drive and be fun to drive with little modification. i.e. Summer/winter wheel combo, maybe springs & struts/shocks combo.

I would like to spend less time wrenching overall unless it's on the Camaro or helping someone else out.

if anyone is interested in mypillow, i found a promocode in 1 of my packages. Enter Promocode Mike40 & it'll say you %25 off your purchase.

$5 pillow, $85 left over for car parts. Like Marc says "You can sleep when you're dead!". lulz

Just got the email. My VIN number has been verified and I am eligible for the Abarth Experience. Free track day at one of the several workshops setup around the country. Time to look at my schedule and see which one I can do.

time to put my big boy pants on and go piss off 2 grown men by giving my 2 weeks notice... UGH this isnt gonna be fun

I really just want nothing more than to go home right now. I spent 5 hours drawing this double check backflow prevention vault with bypass for a private 8" firemain, which involved pulling plenty of products and drawing them as they looked with minimal dimensions. I'm just fried.

You know what, **** em.

I hope the new job is much better to you.

Well, they should have treated you better, over worked, underpaid and abused.......

thanks guys, its going to be alot better and im very excited for the new job, nearly 10k a year more before OT, same vacation time, similar benefits, a place that rewards those that work hard, employee owned so profit sharing, and the office has a very relaxed work environment that "as long you get your s*** done, we dont care how you do it" metality at the new place.

and as much as my current employer has aggrevated me over the last 6.5 years, its tough cause these guys gave me my first chance. ive been here since right out of college. I liken the relationship with them to family, aggrevate the living hell out of me sometimes but at the end of the day we are still all fighting for the same thing kind of mentality. im loyal to a fault sometimes.

like i said, just gonna have to put on my big boy pants and tell them...

Yes indeed. I slammed out a lot of work yesterday in a brief period of time. Felt accomplished. Now, I'm looking at the next set of retarded deliverables that I need to start on and get done in no time flat. Wooooo.

On the plus side, I've got a Stone Brewing tasting tonight after work.

I sent off a set of plans to the client to look over before turning into the county for review, got an email this morning, sorry, our architect should have sent you over plans, here they are, our mechanical rooms are moving and the location for all utilities has changed.

Plus, one of my other projects, I am still waiting for the revised shifted building, never mind the panels are showing up for the building end of next month, and the site still has to go in for engineering review.
