The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

April's 2 is perfect at little drifts without pulling the e-brake. Oversteer tap break or let offa and get back on it to pull it through.

Civic has no e-brake, so my fun can only be made at higher speed. Lift throttle in turn, let rear come around. Works well for not having a rear sway or any other suspension modification.

Not going to lie, I miss being able to almost spin too far and bring the front back around in FWD.

In the miata you can be full lock but if you push it just a little too far or hit a slick[er] spot, it's over.

Better not total another car, Jess. Your insurance rates will be 3x more expensive than a car payment...

the escape is pretty good in the snow (not at drifting, it would tip over), has a little trouble to get going from a stop. Would love to get a second set just for snow tires for Amber.

Does your Escape have 4WD, Nate?

I remember my first winter driving. I was driving my aunts 1980 something Toyota Cressida. Inline 6 I believe and RWD with bald tires from doing donuts and hoodlum hooning. That car was scary as s*** in the winter. So I'm not nearly as obnoxious as I usually am in the summer with other cars in my way since I'm sure a lot of Akronites don't have decent tires on their minivans.

But man I loved that car. There is a cat who used to go to the Grip meets with a white Cressida with a turbo 2JZ.

It would only tip if it suddenly got traction, lol.

It's only FWD. With winter tires I don't think it would have any issues at all for what we normaly get down here.

Parts overnighted from Japan!?!

It's got a pretty high center of gravity, to me at least. I don't think I'll be trying to drift it anytime soon.

Sorry guys...

AWD is fun. :)

if my crv doesn't tip over when drifting, I'm sure escape would be ok..
Off throttle, go sideways, give gas, straighten up.. yup. <3 awd.

My post got me thinking, of another annoying Evan game.

What was your first car?

2001 Ford Focus LX.

Manual transmission and zero options.

The only cool thing about that is the manual. Not many made with the manual. The spi needed all the help it could get.

90 olds cutlass ciera. 2.5L 4 banger. It had cruise control & manual windows & locks.

First car is my name, 1963 Austin Healey Sprite. I had to sell it before it was drivable.
First vehicles I drove/ owned, 1970 Chevy 1/2 ton w/3 on the tree and a 1977 Pontiac Safari Wagon, the 8 passenger party barge that I bought from my dad.

Smart car did fine going 40mph sideways, and that's about as tippy as you can get for the height-wheelbase center of gravity argument haha!

First car: 01 Neon R/T
