The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Heh, if you can live with yourself, I know the "fracking" natural gas companies are paying $40/hour to run a back-hoe for 5-6 days/week dusk to dawn, and you get paid OT. I'm sure they are still hiring like crazy.

yeah and most require 14-16 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week in the Western PA area... ive got plenty of friends that do it
the money is indeed very good BUT you have no life, and im not willing to trade my personal life for more money
my whole goal is to figure out how to make more money and enhance my personal life/adventures etc etc... not eliminate it by working that much

Well, he said he was going to have the P5 running in two weeks when he bought it. I don't think he's touched it other than to put his new wheels on it for pictures. He said he's been more into guns lately. And he's got a girlfriend (gasp!) now so I'm sure the P5 is just sitting in his parents garage. Heck, I bet I got more work done to it then he has. lulz.

My co-worker/friend is moving to Cali in November so he's cleaning out his home/recording studio and brough it all his old Lego's for me, score! And I'm looking at one of the old catalogs and realized these Lego's are street racing. hahaha

I've had 3 MACs in the last 8 years, 1 of them I gave away to my sister for school. I find them simple and easy for what I need, and I don't like Windows 8. If I get a Hydra for the MSM, I'll have to get an older Windows laptop to tune it but I won't have to worry about it for a while.

If I wasn't in my current position, I'd definitely think about doing it for a few years. $4000 a week (before taxes) would be very hard to say no to, especially just running a hoe.

You can have my old laptop if you need one. It works well and is just sitting in the case.

the girlfriend thing explains it. what a lame-o

Darn girls stealing all my friends... Cara stole Ivan and Sophia stole Josh. lulz

Thats my dillema. I used to love my job until they made us start working weekends. The pay is great, but i cant justify spending 7k a year on gas and only getting reimbursed half of it anymore and having to put in 12+ hour days on thursdays and fridays so i can have a few hours of free time to do stuff on weekends at night.

I have 8 years sales experience, management experience, and working on a degree...no one wants to hire me until i get the degree though

and the catch ive found with that is that YES youll make more with a degree but you are also, so ***** with student loans/debt and doesnt really even out for a bit...

That just means you are next buddy.

Pffsht. You're the one with the baby on the way. Is it a girl perchance?

I've been with my GF for about 4 years now and she knows she can't tell me what I can and can't do. I do what I want! haha

No, that's just how it is.

It's especially coming from the guy who bought his fiance a car and a new house. ;)

I think the biggest thing I've bought Tessa was her $350 violin bow. haha

Anyone interested in some Tickets for Norwalk to Night under fire in the Motz section August 10th?

What the? I thought you were taking your dad? You guys not going anymore? Does this mean you're coming to the auto-x on the 11th?

No, its a boy. I've also accepted the fact that in 2-6 weeks I will just completely and mystically vanish.

Dang, that soon? Well best of luck. And I'm just teasing anyway. Family is always more important than cars. Then again, we're all family here too though...

Agreed. The only thing that bothers me now is I wish I had the 6 running. Unfortunately, I'm not willing to toss money at it to complete that project. Stupid car seats are so darn expensive.
