The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'm saving every single day I have for when the little one arrives. It's not much, but its better than having to work while in the hospital and should give me some time to help Amber at home.

lol Nate. The joys of home ownership. hahahahahaha

Pablo, good to hear you can go back to 'light duty'. How is the recovery going?

I could take a PTO day on Friday but we don't have any plans so I'll save the time for a later date. Already took 3hrs this past Monday. :(

i probably will just use a day here or there then use them all in November/December between archery and rifle seasons haha

I'm waddling along, ankle still swollen and bruised. A bit stiff since I didn't move it for several days, but its getting better. Shoulder is also getting better, but hurts sometimes so I have to take it easy for another couple of weeks.

I took a week's vacation when both of our ankle biters were born.

I've got 141 hours to use by the end of the year. Maybe I should take Friday off....lol My goal is to carry 40hrs over this year though, tried last year but failed and only carried over 6.5.

Pablo, you should change your username to The Penguin and make a career change to a weatherman. You'll be able to predict rain 100% of the time. hahahha Def. take it easy, no sense in over pushing things and making it worse. I still get shoulder pain from time to time and use the stretches I learned at PT to help ease it.

I was thinking about changing it, since I'm getting rid of the MSM (hopefully). I might have another miata in the future, but don't know when. Gonna have to put some thought into the next username...

New 70mph zone map (turnpike has been 70 obviously)

I'll probably still have cruise set to about 72.

I'd rather go slower with no front plate.

Now ladies, don't go complaining about the cost of gas......so now we'll have more no driving people driving 80+ miles an hour who have no clue what they're doing.....scary thought

i have 2 thories...

1. it's the state trying to make us burn more gas so we in turn buy more and pay more gas tax
and/or
2. To Marlon's post, Darwin's thining of the heard automotive style.

deffinitely number 1. in michigan the limit is 70 everywhere. and everyone drives like assholes and burn s*** tons of gas. so they jack up our prices 30-50 cents higher than ohio.

they also are realizing that new cars are more stable, safe, and controlable at 70 mph

If they really wanted to thin the herd they would have also raised them within the cities.

I was doing 80 going down route 8 this morning and pacing everyone else. At 6:15am granted, but still. At 4 pm the only difference is more people going that fast together.
