The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I've always wanted to play drums. But I have no rhythm, and I can't remember s***. I can make some bad ass beats but never duplicate them.

thanks patrick

and i love playing drums. i just kind of picked it up being in marching band for 2 years in high school. its a lot of fun and i can jam with a group pretty decently. i just need to get some motivation to learn the bass better. i feel bad because my parents bought me a nice bass guitar and i would play tabs, but i am no good in bass cleff. maybe next time im down in ohio with you guys, evan can give me a few pointers over a couple amps and brews.

Interesting you say that. I bought a corksport SS clutch line, and replaced it with OEM a year later cause it was leaking from one of the fittings.

Anyone here buy the corksport big brake kit? If so, dont installtem yet. Apparently the brake lines are full of fail

You would be better going with Stop Tech, something with that has already been proven. Remember, you get what you pay for!!!

Very true Marlon. I'm not a fan of things that make you stop that are not DOT approved. Iirc, stoptech systems are, provided you purchase the whole kit which has a separate caliper for the emergency brake.

Bonzo freaking blows my mind. I've been a huge fan of Zeppelin since I was little. John Paul Jones was the reason I started playing bass. Now that I'm learning drums I typically play along to more mellow/jazz/funk/groove stuff with a light touch. Playing Zeppelin is the complete opposite. I keep watching my basement door waiting for the cops to come in and ask me to shut up. haha

Hell ya, John Bonham is one of my favorite drummers. Have you ever heard his solo in Moby Dick? It will blow your mind!

Same here, I agree. Go with something that's already be proven.

I don't really feel like the MS3 needs a big brake upgrade. $2000 is a huge investment for just brakes. The stock brake caliper setup should be good enough for most people. Just upgrade the rotors, pads, brake lines, and fluid...should be good after that.

If you're planning on turning the MS3 into a dedicated race car with a full roll cage, then I could justify a big brake upgrade.

The other day, I was browsing KSport's website. They make a bunch of different big brake kits for the 3. Check out this one...it's only $4800 HAHA! http://ksportusa.com/b2c/proddetail.php?prod=BKMZ250-971SO&cat=912

Just because a brake setup isn't DOT-approved doesn't mean it's crap. I'm pretty sure most of the brake setups on Grand-Am, AMLS, etc. cars aren't DOT-approved. For example, the difference between DOT-approved and not approved SS lines is just a plastic/rubber covering. Just food for thought :D

You are correct BBK = waste of money/overkill. But, if you're doing it for looks they sure look awesome.

FWIW, Continental Tire Challenge series MS3s use stock brakes. Real race car FTW. Pads + fluid + rotors + extra cooling = win.

I've been researching cooling ducts for my front rotors. I don't think there are any kits for the MS3 unfortunately. Most of the forum threads I found were just DIY cooling ducts. I unfortunately missed the i-Moto paddock tour at Mid-Ohio this year. So I didn't have a chance to see how they had their cooling ducts setup.

Some of the DIY ducts used the stock fog light location to draw in air. That could work well for me since the oem fog lights don't even do s*** HAHA.

Right on about the stock brake setup being damn good. SS lines and better pads should.be good for most

Evan- iMotos brake ducts were setup with a tube in place of where the foglights would be, running back to behind the rotor on each side. Pretty simple.
