say what you will about it, but i still think the product is pretty cool... over used yes but its come in handy for a couple friends of mine haha
one of my good friends has a company car (cigar rep for Alec Bradley and covers MI, OH, PA, NY) and wanted to change the look of his new jetta, plastidipped the wheels, and emblems company isnt mad cause it can be gone in a matter of 5-10 mins and he is happy cause he isnt stuck with a totally "stock" looking car anymore haha

Figures the one time i dont park my car in the garage overnight, my neighbor slams their door into mine and took some paint off my driver side door handle.

if you know who it is approach them and tell then you want that s*** fixed, if they refuse maybe a donkey kick to their car door would suffice

no dont really do the donkey kick hahaha

I know who it was, its the same guy that parks right in front of my garage when hes too drunk to pull into his own. Dude is scary...

Ive thought about it. Is usually easier to knock on his door loudly to wake him up and get him to move it than to wait an hour and a half for AAA to show up.

I have a question for those that used plasti-dip.

Has anyone used the Plasti-dip primer? Its supposed to make it a more permanent coating.
How durable is the coating?
Does the coating actually seal form water, and prevent rusting?

The reason I ask, I was thinking of starting some rust control on the 7, and since the stock white paint from Mazda is junk and flaking off, I was going to hit a body panel at a time with a wire wheel, then use a sealing primer to prime the bare metal, then was thinking of just using plasti-dip in white. That way its easy to repair, hopefully durable, and cheap. I'm not looking for high grade show car look, just cleaning up a bit.

You need to take care of the rust before you plastic dip. If you just 'do the dip' (LOL) without any prep, you'll be in the same boat as you were before if not worse as you're locking in the moisture on/in the rust and it will continue to rust.

I've been using Fluid Film for the past year or so & it seems to hold up nice and keep rust from expanding. If you have access to an air compressor & a air gun, i'd recommend doing a whole coat of the car, even the underside. I'm still finding uses for this damn product.

Let me know if you want me to talk to the douche. I have a way of making people do things they otherwise wouldn't. I'm being 100% serious, btw.

+1. Covering it up won't "fix" it.

I'm not covering it up. I'm getting rid of the rust with a wire wheel, then sealing it with a primer. The next step was to dip it to final seal it

foreigners tend to care about their cars a lot more than natives.

+1

In unrelated Mazda news, I picked up my rear quarters for the Camaro today. Technically not progress but it feels like a giant leap forward.

So, Friday I get a little notification in my mail box I owe $1.70 for a package from B. Smith. I ship everything via FedEx from work and it all ships out under my bosses name, B. Smith. But I was so confused because we don't ship anything USPS through work. Cres from CR3 said he's got a package shipping to me which was sitting at my desk this morning at work. I didn't order anything so I was just going to ignore the shipment and it would be shipped back to the shipper. Then my boss calls me to ask if I got the CD of steel drums he sent me. Sonofa... So now I have to go to the post office and pay $1.70 for a cd from my boss I don't want. haha

a good cigar and/or a good bottle of scotch, tell him youll take him golfing (if you both do that) a son that is actually around on fathers day...
