The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

is there a way to look up a VIN number to see if a car is still alive? I just found my old reg for my '85 300ZX. If no one restored it, I'm sure it's rusted and gone, but I'm just wondering ...

I've been trying to find one, want to check how many MSMs are still alive

Who's 6 is that with wheels on it and lowered already?!

CJ Wilson has a CJ version of each model, mainly lowered and different wheels.

Think Ohio will raise the gas tax?

Hmmmmm, I see PA is on that list too. If PA does, then have to wonder if NJ would consider it. I live on the PA side of the Delaware river and can currently pay $3.63 a gallon for regular in PA or $3.47 in NJ....both prices are at Wawa stations. The biggest difference in that price is NJ's current lower gas tax.

As for the 'woes' of not having enough money for the infrastructure, perhaps the politicians in office now and in the past should have used the effin tax money for what it was for vs. dipping into this fund to pay for that, etc. /end rant

I like the ST alot, wish it had a LSD or FORD would do the right thing and send over the RS version. I would have forgone the MS3. In fact we even considered the Volvo C30R version too. There will always be something better that what we own......but I still have fun with the Speed 3.....

So it would have been the 2013 MOCO Ford Focus ST? Ahh... !

That new fandagled Fucus doesn't have an LSD? Dang! Even the wimpy 170hp MSP had an LSD...

This. Let's see how well the economy responds when people who rely on personal vehicles for transportation are spending 10%+ of their yearly income on fuel. Not to mention the fact that the price of just about everything else is also a function of fuel prices; especially produce.

I'm pretty sure it has a LSD. It didn't do 1 wheel peels or light up the inside tire on hard corners when i did the ST Media Drive event back in October.

Edit:

guess not, just uses the brakes

Using the brakes for acceleration... WTF Booooooooo! Do it right with a LSD Ford.

It was more of a planned failure point than it was an LSD... lol.

Remember the days when 170 hp in a FWD 4cyl was king s***? Or are Evan and I just really old? (We had this discussion once, a while ago)

I'm pretty sure its also using the brakes to give it those controlled oversteers that the people reviewing liked so much in the video. Traction control that allows you to slide the rear out a tad. That's one of the main reasons I chose the MS3 over the ST, mechanical LSD.
