The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Made the mold for the Smart air scoup last night for Jess. I'll take it out of the mold tomorrow and lay out the cf. So far so good. Decided to do some of my bike parts to while I was at it because I didn't want to waste any resin that I had left over.
yay!

You read my mind. She already has a bike exhaust. Might as well just add a bike motor.
It will turn into another Miata build. $12k for kit, $5k for motor

Less speed? She blitzed me one morning like I was standing still on the highway. The smart hasn't worked so well for keeping speeds down.
What were you driving? lol. For such low horsepower it is remarkably easy to top that little thing out. Doesn't take as long as you'd imagine. I've done it accidentally a lot. :/

Lol... Yeah. It is also horrible at auto-x, def not a good combination of things to make it good at a tight fast course :X

I just wanna know where everyone finds these pics. Literally, someone just posted that on my wall. I fully expect 3-5 more posts within the next few weeks.

Where does everyone find the smart car pics?!

Edit: dunno how they did that unless overseas first gen smarts are real manuals or he slid off the road lol.

UPS status on the PS cooler I bought the other day online:

Sweet, at least I'm still awake when they come to the door this early in the morning instead of being naked :)

Hey Marlon and Lauri, how's the new house? Are you guys getting settled in okay?

Hey Marlon and Lauri, how's the new house? Are you guys getting settled in okay?

we are settling in. i (we) had to run over to the old house every night last week after work to get the rest of the small stuff out (and thrown out) so by the time last weekend rolled around I was too pooped to party - and too pooped to unpack anything either! argh! i did set up my 'office' and hung up some drapes, but that was about it. : / yesterday after work i ran up to lakewood to put the last of all the garbage out on the treelawn for pick up today. that should be my last trip to lakewood. i definately enjoy my 3.9 mile non-highway commute in the morning!! this weekend we are going to make a concerted effort to organize the garage and get things where they need to go ... but i am LOVING the new digs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (to quote a friend) fo' shizzle!!!! ; )

May I ask a nerdy question? I want to buy a hard drive to back up my iPod. It's just an 80 gig iPod but my whole life is on this little guy. But I don't need some crazy huge hard drive with a gazillion tetra bites of memory, just about 100 or so. And what software can I use to download and upload my iPod to it?

Thanks in advance. :)

A 100GB drive should be fine, USB external to keep the cost low. As for software, you need to use iTunes to transfer the songs to your new drive.

iTunes can make a copy of everything and save it to the USB drive and back and forth to the iPod? (I'm so old...)

edit- does name brand really matter when buying a USB flash drive? They range from $30 to $300 on eBay...
