The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

^ that right there is one of the reasons why I don't like soccer, they're just ******* animals...

for those of you who don't know, that's (Cali) where I'm from

Peaches, you don't like soccer because the fans are unruly? That doesn't make sense...

I was on my high school team for half a season (bad grades got me kicked off, lulz). Next Menchies I'll bring my ball to kick around. :)

well we know you weren't a goalie :p

do you still play? I've got some shin guards I don't use...

I wish I did, but I haven't played in 6-7 years. It's hard just jumping in a league by yourself. :(

I have all my gear still though.

I played for a long time and yes, watching is SOOOO boring. I tried my hand at being a referee and that was soooooo boring.

Haha....I ref'ed a few kid's games once, that was pretty funny!!

I thought this was funny...

there are a few things to consider on my point of view:

- unfortunately, out of all the people who go to the stadium, over 75% are either stoned out of their minds or s*** faced drunk. This also happens outside the stadium, and that is their general state of being, you work so you can score drungs\booze.

- I don't like being drunk, and I don't have any interest in drugs, so the circle of people left for me to mingle was limited. I'm not saying every single soccer fan is that way, but A LOT of them are so that steers me away.

- I'm not trying to be a dick or consider myself superior with the following statement, but again over 80% of the people who go to the stadium are of a lower social status, where the only things in life are soccer, drugs or booze. Even most of my highschool friends who don't do drugs but are really into alcohol I stayed away from, to me there is more to life than getting drunk on the weekend and remembering half of what happened. Some people in a higher status are not so different; my cousin doesn't do drugs, went to law school and now runs my uncle's school, has 2 kids and a lovely wife. Unfortunately there are only 2 things you can discuss with him, soccer and food, anything else and you might as well have a conversation with a rock.

So, if I don't like something then I just stay away. I'm still open to things, every now and then I'll watch an European game that is actually interesting, but for the most part I stay away. Some things remind me of unfortunate stereotypes that I like to avoid.

\end of rant

I thought you always brought you balks for us to " kick around " or is I am thinking of someone else?

Peaches, I can understand your point. I just meant you don't like to play soccer? I don't really watch sports but I like(d) playing them. But now I'm old and fat.

If anyone wants OEM Mazda 2 front brake pads with 2,000 miles on them PM me. Forgot I had them. Still in the Porterfield box :P

Buhahahahaha. Just checked on my carbon fiber and it should be arriving tomorrow at my parents house. I have a feeling I know where I'll be tomorrow :)
Order on my To Do List:
1)front lip for friends DSM
2)stock fenders
I'll have to then buy headlights that don't have broken bumper mount tabs!
3)secret ^hint^
4)secret
5)secret

Starting a build thread when I get home from class today. Let the fun begin.

Which bumper mount tabs are you speaking of? If they are the ones on the outer edge of the lamps (the ones that always seem to break), they can be purchased from onlinemazdaparts. Hell, I've had brand new ones sitting in my garage for a couple of years now that I never got around to replacing. If interested, $9 shipped and they are yours. http://www.onlinemazdaparts.com/parts/2002/MAZDA/PROTEGE/ES/?siteid=214264&vehicleid=1387414&diagram=5416670&diagramCallOut=4
