The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Truck pulls up," Don't break mommy's car. Shoulda bought a camaro."

That was halarious when that happened. I don't think he realized what that stock looking DSM had.

why is it that when ever I find some wheels they're never the right size/bolt pattern/offset/color? everytime.

Cause camaros don't break? they are a gm product after all

Older cars in general don't break as much becasue there is less to break. I haven't had anything go wrong with the TA except for the shity factory tach setup, blown speakers, and oil pan gasket. Apparently you can only listen to highway to hell to loud.

i'm thinking 3rd gen on, that's when GM put a blindfold on quality control

Yep. The big 3 in general all did it to try to beat the newer Japanese market. It wasn't until the mid 90's when the companies realized their sales were not only going down because of the more reliable cars out there, but their overall quality just sucked. They were nitch markets. They rellied on full size trucks, SUVs, and so called "muscle cars". Decent motors, with horrible componnets.

I had some friends from work today ride with me in the MSP and it halarious to hear them talk about it being fast when I keep telling them it is slow, especially compared to my friends cars. I just tell them my car is all about the handles and it's all in the hips.

SEMA is on my bucket list, but I think it will be a while before I am able to go.

Wow. Bill, that is a great deal. Best of luck with road racing. I hope all your successes with the MSP continue with the new ride and forum. What will you be going with for road racing?

Oh and all of you should check out Mazda of the Month. CLEAN protege, awesome Cosmo, couple of OH guys, and a few other cars that span almost all Mazda generations. Very low vote count right now.

I don't know what I'll be driving next. I have to find a job first and decide if I'll have time to build something, maintain an already built car, or if I should just rent. I am really interested in Spec 350Z, but it depends on how many will be in the region where I wind up. I want a big class, so I might go American Iron or something like that (I don't come close to fitting in a Miata. All my height is in my torso).

We are doing nothing.......bored to death. Spicy is at Big 3 getting the cold pipe re-routed, so the Mishimoto can fit. Looking at the ALMS race on Tv.

We have no plans. Of course Jen has to work tonight and tomorrow night so that sort of puts a damper on things. We might go for a cruise later today.
