The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Good lord, I think I want it. Not sure I have access to the for sale forum over there though. Ivan, send me a link or something, would you?

Picked it back up yesterday. I missed it terribly! Everything looks good in terms of paint and window. I even got my roof repainted, which was ruined from acid rain (before I even got it).

The bad news: the idiots at the shop must not have been able to figure out how to put it in reverse and they screwed something up with my short shifter. It feels like the reverse-lockout guide is bent or something. I still need to dig into it and find out for sure what is wrong. Also, they broke a tab on a piece of plastic trim on the hatch interior. No biggie, I'll get another one or have them fix it...

If I were to purchase a hypertech tuner, will it compensate for mods other than an intake? I would also like to get a FMIC someday..... I think I'll stop short of buying a downpipe, and just do a testpipe instead...

the Hypertech will compensate a little, but it was designed for a stock car so I don't know how safe it will be since it adds more power by leaning out the tune... how much stuff do you have again?

Chippy, the HT will cover every bolt on mod on stock turbo. I have every bolt on minus the exhaust mani and I have the HT. I'll shoot you a text.

They gave me the MS3 to fix! It's crunched pretty good...lol

And waiting for me in the shadows.......a......nother......VW......drivetrain.....to.....pull!!!!

'12 GTI TSi. 1700 miles on it, whacked by a Dodge Ram. The owners came in after it was towed in, I guess he's a Dr. at Akron Children's Hospital. Said he made ONE payment on it so far. haha We showed him the Jetta I have in progress, since that's the exact same repair his will need.

I can't begin to explain the level of rage I would feel if my brand new car needed THIS much repair.......

Wow, look how much the front-end has shifted. That CarFax report is going to suck.

Yup, it's over pretty good! The passenger side frame rail is shoved into the alternator and a/c compressor, but I can't get to it until I get the rails pulled back over. lol

And yea Levi, I'd probably do the same. I mean, it's not their fault they got hit, so why should they pay full price for a car that's been repaired to this extent? We actually get quite a few brand new cars in surprisingly. Recently, I fixed a'12 Town and Country that only had 600 miles on it! It still had the temp tag on!! It wasn't to this extent, pretty much all bolted on parts, but the estimate was still for over $13,000.

make sure you fix that gas door for him (boom01)

Its a full moon just in time for labor day weekend. I think I will just stay inside and avoid the insane people

why is it that when ever I find some wheels they're never the right size/bolt pattern/offset/color? everytime.

Cause camaros don't break? they are a gm product after all
