The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

There's also a Torqued Racing event at Putnam the following weekend. TONS of track time for half the money. The beaverun event they put on at the end of the season was a little unorganized, but that was their first time at that track. I still had an awesome time, even in the downpour. lol

Nice find...I'll probably do that one instead.

I'm planning on doing the Torqued Racing event at Nelson Ledges in July. Are there normally a lot of cars at these events?

I haven't been to a NASA event, but I imagine this one is the exact opposite. lol Not sure if it's a good or bad thing though? I had never been on a track before, and I was literally turned loose to do what I wanted, without any instructors. Good thing I had some of our peeps with me to show me the ropes!

It was awesome getting all that track time though, for only like, $130 or $160 or something...dirt cheap. Their "schedule" says 6-20 minute sessions, then the last hour of the day is open to all 3 groups (novice, intermediate, advanced), but I was out there so much, we wound up leaving before 4 because I'd had enough. haha

Like I said, the BeaveRun event was a complete downpour all day, and in the mid 40's, so I imagine everyone got turned off. I think there were around 30-40 cars, which greatly lessened as the day went on.

^autointerests.com is the group I went with last year, the people in the advanced group volunteer to ride around with novices :) about the same price also

Auto Interests looks a little on the pricey side for a track day at Nelson Ledges for $140 (I think the other one is like $110?). Nonetheless, I'm putting it on my schedule as another possibility. I've got some NT-01s I need to use up :)

No there are about 15-25 cars in each of the 3 groups. Nelsons is a long fast trackso the cars usually get spaced out pretty quickly.

Not sure, never really looked at other ones lol. I just go with a group of people that I know instead of people I don't haha :)

BTW, zombie cupcakes ftw

I'm a chiver as well. thejeans and I were talking about it when he was rocking his sweet Bill Murray shirt at Mid-Ohio.

I too have a TheChive and KCCO shirt, thanks to good old jeans here. I've met me some Chivers while out and about. About 3 at the Winking Lizard tour party, 2 at the Steel Panther show, 2 at Malloys, and one at the Elliott Brood show.
