You should make a build thread so we can chat about the P5 in there.
-Rear sway is a great upgrade, but unless you get the clunk fix it will drive you batty.
-Tokico HP's and Tein S-techs are the best combo for the P5 IMHO. I loved them on mine.

Don't spend money on performance parts on the 3 since it's got an auto.

I do plan on doing some mods, nothing over the top though. Another daily driver of course.
So Nate's exhaust = maybe, it depends whether or not my butt dyno will be able to tell if it makes more powar. MP3 ecu/ reflash = yes, 93 octane = no so that is a maybe too. The mod list I have in mind is really just suspension stuff like springs and rear sway bar, CAI, header and exhaust and some wheels. I don't want to go wild on the P5, there are still things I may want to do to the 3.

I believe that the MP3 ECU could correct for lower grade fuel meaning if you put in 89, it will sense it and run similar to a regular protege. I don't know if the flash is the same way but I don't see why it wouldn't be. That way if you get in a bind and can't do 93 anymore, you're ok. Honestly though, 93 is not that bad. I think that I drive more than any single person on this forum and I spend 600 bucks in month on 93 gas. If I were to use 89 to save 30 cents, I would only save approximately 55 bucks a month. It's not a very big difference at all.

I've always ran 93 in all my cars. So when I got the MP3 ECU everyone was like "Oh no! But 93 octane is soooo expensive!". Hell, even the Milly gets 93. Then again, I don't drive nearly as much as anyone else around here. But I still say the MP3 ECU is the best upgrade for the money on a P5.

Automatics are crap. Come on, now.

if you do the MP3 ECU then use 93, if not then it won't make a difference for you. And like Ivan said, the difference in price is very small unless you drive more than him, just don't but it from Giant Eagle, their quality really sucks.

Giant Eagle's gas sucks? I pretty much only use them since I have the "Fuel Perks". I've been using them for about 4 years now. (scratch)

when I had the 3, sometimes i babied it to save gas since I was driving so much (I tried, really...). Best tank of 93 from Sunoco: 310 miles (filling up after using 3/4), best tank of 93 from GE: 250 miles... the fuel perks give you a small discount, but not really worth 60 miles (on average), it tells me the engine wasn't running the same. Went back to Sunoco, started getting better mileage right away.

those miles were the best I could get over a month of driving
