The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

hey now! lol, i think they're whopping 13's!

i'm not looking for new cars that seriously though, but i'm always looking...you know, something else to at work...besides actually working...lol

I know what you're saying. That's why I spend so much time on here :)

Pretty much what I had planned on doing, but the Civic will make for a nice DD again.

definitely! there are lots of crappy winter beater cars you can get for really cheap if you wanted to...hell, you could buy one for $500 every fall, then junk it in the spring and repeat! hahaha
I bought cheap beater cars each fall for 6 or 7 years. The great thing about a $500 car is it is almost always worth $500 when you're done with it and you can sometimes sell for more. The bad thing is, you are driving a $500 car.....

^ I like that plan. I'm not so sure about driving a $500 car my 80 mile drive to /from work though.

Eh... you get used to it. haha.

I love metros :) I think tires for 13" wheels are getting harder to find...our prelude has 13s and I *think* sean said there were only 2 tire choices on tirerack.com....

I got 4 tires for my old metro for like $180 at some discount tire place chain years ago.

Body panels dent very easily and brakes are squishy

something to start thinking about!!! it's only 2 1/2 hours from home, half the distance of the Glen, and it can be a day trip if expenses of staying over are a factor!! buddy up and gas will be cheaper too!!

The excitement of world-class auto racing will return to the Motor City next summer for the first time in four years with the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, June 1-3, 2012.

Over $6 million in improvements were made to Belle Isle Park as the Grand Prix made its return to Detroit in 2007 and 2008. On the first weekend in June, the Automotive Capital of the World will once again bristle with excitement as the cars of the IZOD IndyCar Series, the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series, the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car Series and the Firestone Indy Lights Championship will battle wheel-to-wheel on the temporary street circuit constructed on Belle Isle, the beautiful 982-acre island located on the Detroit River between Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Detroit, Michigan.

I'm looking forward to it. Even if we don't do a corral, I'll be there.

Wow that sounds like a pretty awesome race weekend. I wonder why the ALMS isn't running there? They usually are paired up with the Indy series.

yea regardless of corral or not ill be there, hell even if no one but stephen and i go, ill still be there... haha

If there is no "official" corral maybe there could be an impromptu corral if there are a bunch of us going up there.

Steve Focazio is looking into the possibility of a corral, it won't be our full blown Castrol event, but I am sure we can get decent niimbers. May look into having our own poker tourney at the MGM grand.....a little Texas Holdem, boys?
