The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

that's highbanks on 23 north, north of 270 near polaris parkway. not far from where the sonic meet took place. I looked into, not a bad price for reserving.

We had good luck with the first Quaker Steak and Lube meet at Polaris Parkway... but... that was before most of you were even around, so you probably wouldn't know about it. 15 3rd gen Proteges alone... about 60 cars total.

got the front motor mount out, it was trashed.

That was probably the best location for a meet I've ever been to, just cause it was secluded, and we had that entire lot/pavillion to ourselves. It would be perfect for a giant bash! That meet was supposed to be the "big Midwest spring meet" and it had over 40 people on the list, but of course half dropped out within the last week...pfft

I'll ask my TrailVoy buddy what it cost to reserve...

trans mount installed, it wasn't terrible like the front. Make have to make a run to Harbor freight for some deep metric sockets. I know my neighbor has them but not sure when he's gonna get home, plus it means I have more tools.

I am a little ticked. I just took a look a craigslist and found (4) 17x8 Motegi wheels for $150.00. The ad doesn't say what the model is. Not sure of the offset either but I will check them out if anybody else is interested. Too bad Jenny would blow a gasket if I said I wanted another set of wheels. I may just check them out for grins and giggles. EDIT These wheels are +40.

what's july like for everyone? maybe a park or something?

can't have it at my apartment or my mom's house, If i had a house I would have one

and took a saws-all to the egr pipe

Damn it, Levi. Foiled again but your smart-assedness. (yes, that's a word)

A meet in a park in July sounds good to me, Nate. Just pick a date and I'm sure a lot of us will show up. Heck, we usually get 20 people at the Lizard meets every month.

Don't forget about my get-together at the beginning of July! BOOM!
Also, I'm free whenever...let me know and I'll make the trip to Columbus!

More info on these wheels. They are Motegi MR7 17X7+40 painted/powder coated white. The seller says no visible curbage. From what I can find they weigh an ass-ton~23lbs. The price is right @$150. If interested I will go see them and let you know.

You know how hard it is to plan s*** when you guys already have the year planned with track events and s***??

Can someone PM me a list of what is already planned so I can pick a weekend that works? I can do another Sonic meet or maybe have a BBQ at the new pad.

the alternator is being a b****. Thw only how to i found isn't really helping either. got it out, don't think I'll get it done in time for hyperdrive :( I have sunday off but have a dinner for my brother to go to and all next week my only evening off is wednesday plus school added in.

i like the idea of the highbanks meet because it's close to me and it has a playground for the kids :)

What's holding you up? I've been in that area of the engine bay a few times.
