The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Woo! I drove the MSM to work today. I noticed on Sunday that the transmission has a funny sound to it. Gonna keep an eye on that.

OK, guys, I have worked a deal with one of my main sponsors to give you deals on your aftermarket needs. We're going to personally issue your own specific code for ordering products. If you are interested, please PM me.

Medical update. Cardiologist gave me the all clear (I figured he would), so now I am waiting on sugeons office to call with my surgery date.

Anyone been able to get tires and wheels mounted without the tpms sensors? I've got RX8 rims and tires, but don't want to spend an extra $100/sensor.

Don't have TPMS on my cars, so no experience with them.

You passed me yesterday on 77N not far from Rockside Road. I saw the MS3 coming and I said "Hmm, I wonder..." I was driving the BMW.

what do you think would be the problem? im pretty sure it isnt a big deal. my 5 has winter wheels and tires without tpms and the little light is on, but who cares.

yeah the little light will be on but its not going to cause any harm or damage to run wheels/tires without the sensors

I took the tires and rims to Mr. Tire but they wouldn't mount them. They say that the federal law requires the tires and rims to have installed TPMS sensors which is bogus. The federal law only requires the car to have the system. Thus my predicament - and why I was wondering if anyone has had success getting their second set mounted somewhere else.

What kind of BMW/color? If it was around 530, I am sure it was me.

my car doesnt have tmps so i dont have to worry but ive dealt with a local Mr. Tire to get my tires on the OZ's and snow tires mounted, just take a set of wheels and tires into a shop and tell them you want them you want them to mount the tires on the wheels and leave it at that... if they ask if you have TMPS just tell em no lol

I see what you mean. I could have also lied and said it was a different car. Good idea. 2005 Mazda 3 2.3 it is.

are they just mounting tires on the wheels for you to install at a later date? or are they actually putting the wheels on the car then?

Just installing tires on the wheels, but they ask for the info on the car to have in their system. I didn't even think one step ahead like I should have.

I have had tires mounted for my speed3 and they never had a problem. I took my car and tires to Enger Tire in Akron but they have stores all over neohio.
