The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Yeah, the sidewalls are freaking huge. I did say they were 205/75, Steve. But they also came off my dads Rover so they are more for light truck, suv's. I just mentioned them because a lot of cats have other cars/trucks they might want winter wheels/tires for. No worries. I might try to mount them to my P5 just for s**** and giggles. They're sitting in my garage. haha

I just meant you didn't say they wouldn't fit due to their sidewall height, but rather their inner diameter. ;)

I was merely commenting that the ID of most 15" wheels will more than clear the brakes on a P5, so that wasn't the issue. I just failed to identify the real issue. (rofl)

About to head to my first exam of finals week. Haven't gotten much done today, lol. Good thing I just need a B on it. :D

Oh I have plans. I have wheels picked out, I know the lift height I'm gonna go. Just with moving and all I currently am tapped out. I did just find an AT tire cheaper so I'm going that route.

Does that mean you are actually going to use it off-road??

I'll take it off road for you. I haven't done that in a long time.

Let me go ahead and get it at least halfway paid off before someone breaks it. You know what I'm talking about Nick...

here is the link to the wheel repair shop http://www.motomotion.com/

Yeah, Motomotion did a good job boring out my hubs...and they are 5 minutes from my house!

I too have a bent wheel on my OZs-they said they could get it balanced, but it probably needs fixing. The problem now is I don't know which is bent since I have taken them off! I will probably take it there and see what they say, although if it still balances, it's probably suitable for my needs.

My dad knows the owner from the AMC AMX scene. The dude owns one of 10 playboy edition AMX's:

Damn, that's pretty sweet. The AMX's were pretty sweet cars for their time. I'd rock one.

I gotta find a pic of my dads 1974 AMX. Hearing his stories is what made me build the Mustang and now have the Speed3. Without a doubt, I'd be driving a Toyota Camry if it wasn't for his AMX. He sold it when I was born, and has regretted it ever since. (So have I). We do still have the 401 cu. engine for it, though! It was black with white pinstriping up and down the hood and everything, gorgeous! Automatic though. I'll dig up a pic. Notice all my vehicles have been black as well...

Not his but close enough. Ill still find that old picture of his. It was quite a beast with the 401, and he did the whole meets and car shows like we are doing now. He finds it funny that nothing has changed except the type of cars. He love hanging out with you guys. Thanks!

That's a nice AMX, my mom was more of the car person in my family, but nothing to the extent I am.

where you looking at to buy a house?

Well, we have a couple houses we like behind Riverside hospital (one of them does come with a pool) and there's this really awesome house down in Clintonville, but we're thinking it's going to be too small, and the commute is going to be a b****. We're going to look at a few more up by were I live now this Sunday.

Good old 401. I once saw a 401 in a Gremelin. What a little beast that thing was.

Anyone ever seen the movie Hollywood Knights? I'd love if we had gatherings and antics like that.

Damn Pablo, sorry bout the wheel!!

I'm not really sure what got me into cars. My dad used to have a 69 Chevelle back in the day, then a Bronco, then a Porche 944. I don't really remember the story but he converted the Chevelle to a 4 bolt main. He used to tinker with a bunch of stuff, like taking it apart and putting it back together. He almost got a Corvette in 94, but decided it wasn't practical with a wife and 2 kids haha. I think the thing that sparked my car interest was going to the Detroit Auto show. Seeing the Saleen S7 and Ferrari's was an amazing experience!! The Cleveland Auto show is nothing like the Detroit show.

Tomorrow (I guess technically today) are my finals!! I've been studying all day long, but I can't wait till they're over. 1 month off school FTW!!!!

Hmm... what got me into cars.... Oh wait, have you met my dad? That should say it all. LOL.

Gran Turismo 1 got me into cars. I memorized about every car in the game by the hub caps, and that's how I spotted them on the road, too. My parents couldn't believe it. Man did it screw me up when I started seeing cars with non-stock wheels..

Gran Turismo 1 got me into Imports. Not long after I got the game, and my dad and I played it for a while, he found an 86 Civic 1500S for cheap and picked it up with the intention of it being a project for us. Once we started digging into the car more and found out about the lovely cam shafts that snap on the 1500 12 valve motor, we ditched it.
