The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

winter wheels don't have to be pretty. they'll prolly have noisy tires anyway. gotta get thru the snow somehow

Agreed. Spray paint is always a friend as well. But yeah, if you're interested... let me know. We can make it happen.

Marlon, that's good s*** brutha!

I thought I'd share this with you guys, if you didn't see it on the other thread or my facebook page.

You wanna talk about feeling sick to your stomach...This is what I saw this afternoon...one butterfly was lying in the dynamic chamber with a screw and the other missing butterfly and 2 screws fell in our hands when we flipped the manifold over...lucky doesn't describe it...

does anyone know a shop or a person that works on rotarys?? i need to get the turbo on my rx8 swapped (its got a blown oil seal) and need someone to tell me why its smoking like a freaken freight train..

There's a shop on the east side of Columbus that works specifically on the rotary. I'll have to see if I can find their name.

What's happening folks?

So... I'm thinking I may be hitting up Tire Rack for a pre-mounted set winter tires and wheels. Anyone interested in some 03 Protege wheels? I only have two sets of them... LOL.

I'm sorry but those are 16" wheels right?

Marlon, that will be pretty cool. Unfortunatly I will be on a 6 week lay-off at work so my lack of modding monies is now less than zero. However I/we will be there to represent and help out any way we can. I would love to help scale your spicy.

today is a GREAT DAY!!! :D

going to pick up my new shoes for Whitney, she should like the difference (24lbs ms6's and the new wheels are 14-15lbs)

17 or 18 inches? 14-15 pounds is soooo light, and now I think I know what OZs they are...

Marlon, I'll be at the shop tour and most likely the Nelson Ledges event for sure. I dunno about needing professional race tuning help since I haven't really started racing, though, LOL...

Ok, this might read like War and Peace, but i wil ltry to keep it short and sweet! This evening Sandi Kryder of Kryder Racing, What nice people and very knowledgeable folks and they are willing ot help us future and current racers. Here is their web addy: www.kryderracing.com. Matt Miller is their shop manager and has been a crew chief on a number of Koni/Conti series cars. , he is very knowledgable on roataries as well, as that is what he races. Here is what we workedd out so far.

1. Shop tour-In a few months we will head out and see their shop in Canal Fulton.

2. We will work out what services that each of you want, for example matt is going to work with me on suspension set up and corner balancing, as we will be experimenting with different springs and rear sway bars.

3. We are looking at having a Mazda Fun day @ Nelson Ledges, with personal instruction from Reed, Matt, rob and some of their other drivers, I will assist as well.

All in all, we should be set once we work out what everyone is looking for to enhance their cars. The object here is to spend moeny wisely and put it where it will do the most good.

That is it for know guys & gals....

Marlon is working his connection magic again haha.

I have a lot planned, hopefully I can raise the money to buy coilovers by next spring..

And I just noticed that your link to their site isn't working. http://www.kryderacing.com/ works for me.

17's and they are superleggera's

I decided that I'm just going to put cheap all seasons on my rx8 wheels for daily use. Now I want to buy a set of light weight 17x8 wheels and put really stciky tires on those. I think the rx8 wheels are too heavy. They are like 22lbs each I believe.

yeah i had been wanting a lighter wheel for a while and this deal finally came up of the OZ's plus i got 4 tires on the wheels (all said to be over 80% tread +3 new tires along with the wheels and tires) and all for about 50 bucks more than i sold my ms6's for... hahahahahaha

that being said as long as the money permits im going to try to make it to a couple track days and hopefully a few autocrosses this coming year :D

Very good deal then, I wouldn't have passed on it either haha. Got any pics? Or do I have to wait till Saturday? (I think that's when you are comin down)

I like that style a lot. Hopefully I can find something cheap. Luckily I don't need them until next summer
