same with us...no one touches our car...sean does everything
he tried to do his own alignments, but the thing we bought didn't work for us because our garage wasn't level

if we had the money/space, i'm sure he'd have all the stuff to do his own alignments

Speaking of doing your own work, I wanted to take Sean up on his offer to look at my car. I've got a thump in the back that's gotten worse and he seems like he would be the best person to talk to. Can you let him know for me? I lost his email address when my computer crashed.

Thump? When does it thump? My guess is your rear swaybar endlinks and/or bushings.

I've been pulled over soooo many times for no front plate. I used to gig a lot and would be driving home from bars at 2am so I'd always get pulled over (though I'd always be sober). After my last ticket with the P5 and no front plate, I mounted one so I wouldn't get harassed for my illegal tint. And I love side mounted plates! Haha

Haha, I wish... Although it's an option I have thrown around. The passenger fender is just primered black. I never got it painted after a minor accident that me and my bro did the repair work on 2 yrs ago.

Although for the cost of prep & paint, It's not that much more to get CF fenders. The cost would basically double because I would have to buy 2 CF fenders, vs. getting just 1 painted. It's an idea I've been throwing around for a little while. We'll see...

My car is a tremendous WIP (work in progress). lol 6 months ago I was ready to sell it for $2k just to avoid the headache... Pretty happy I decided to dump all my extra $$ into instead... Since March I've put ~$3k into it. (rofl)

that's usually what our "thumps" are from...we have bracing on the car and one of those pieces was thumping under the right conditions, too

No. I don't know all the specifics and I'm sure someone with racing background can jump in and help me out here. But from what I gather is the Snell rating is reset every 5 years and is good for 10 years. So if you buy a NEW helmet today (with the Snell of 2005), it's good till 2015. But if you wait until later this year when the Snell 2010 helmets are out they are good until 2020. That's all.

I read an article in Car and Driver about it, that's why I haven't bought a helmet yet. But I could be WAY off on the Snell ratings info. Car and Driver magazine said to wait to buy a helmet till October, so I am.
