There are always thread Nazis out there.
But come to think of it, I think you're right, oOn8. I think last year was Monaco and the Indy500 together. I went to the Indy500 last year. It was freakin packed. And my band just got off a two week tour, my buddy and I got home 1:30am, slept till 4am, hit the road in my P5 and got to the track around 9am, watched the race, almost passed out from heat stroke, got in the car around 6pm, sat in traffic for an hour, got home around midnight and passed out. The drive from C-bus to home was super short. I was so tired I just didn't care if I got a ticket. I was scaring my passenger, he said I was Colin McRea'ing it. Haha! Anywho- I'm done rambling now.

i don't really care for F1 because they don't pass much due to the open wheel issue. we record it and watch it, but it's usually on the tv just as background noise...but i do enjoy watching the Monaco race

Anyone going to Indy500 this year? I'll be down there with my gf and it would be cool to possibly find one of you guys if you're there.
Nooooo! I love the Jackie Stewart edition 3! Boo. Is it because everyone else is doing it? Still thinking about the canvas camo?

I understand. Especially because the stewarts were so stirct with penalties last year for "racing". What kind of racing is your favorite to watch? I assume WRC?

true, but it's still good racing...even now because they all race together...lots of bumping
it's kinda like the british touring car series (i think that's what it's called...i only see it occasionally)

yeah...i never know who will be racing...it is annoying
i also hate the "sportscar wars" thing they are doing...pretty cheesey
yeah.... too many people have copied me, and i know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but i wanted to be different that and im just kinda bored with it all now, so i might just trade him and keep the stock panels in the car for a while....
but yes if i ever do the door panels again it will be with the (army) olive green canvas (lol2)
I like grand-am when i catch on speed. rx-8's give me something to cheer for and waiting to annoy my gf with the 24 hours of le mans

I've already decided not to do mine... When I get around to doing it, microsuede is gonna go on the headliner & maybe door inserts.

NOOOOO ... I haven't even seen it yet! I was looking forward to checking it out at LRP ... : ( but it's your car ... may have you help me with my leather door inserts, since you're such the professional ... = D
i got tired of the plaid, i did it with the plans/intentions of only doing it for a year or so... the fabric and adhesive only set me back like 40 bucks so it was def worth it even if it was only for like 10 months haha
i got a new idea that will def. be just as different/unique as the plaid was (lol2)
and id be more than willing to help with the door inserts on your car....

World Challenge is dying, a lot of the major teams have left and now they have combined three classes and the racing isn't that good anymore. Grand-Am has stepped way up and has large fields in GS & ST classes, added more models ( Kia, Speed 3's, Mini's) and they are reaching out to the fans as evidenced by the Fan Zone and other promotions.
The Fan walk 1 hour before the race is a hell of an idea, as you can get up close and personal, sit in the cars and get photo ops as well. Of course we get that through our Mazda Corrals.
Grand-am gives us swag to give away, Piloti shoes, team apparel, ROLEX and CONTI flags and banners and crew member for a day and parade laps.
Grand-Am gets us great pricing on corral packages, i.e. $30.00 for Mid-Ohio for the weekend and we have always had the largest corrals at every venue this year!
WC is dead without Tindol, Tri-Point and Mazdaspeed Motorsports does not invest in that series at all. They are focused on Grand-Am, where the attendance is up and viewership on TV has increased by an average of 125%!
