The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Supply and Demand......it is the Speculators who help drive prices up....funny how stations who paid a certain price on fuel in their underground tanks can then raise the price 30 cents because of some unforseen cut in productions from Iran.....Blame each and every politican, oil company...nope........Capitalism at its best....

Shush... I can put some random B.S. in here... Like.... I have a song stuck in my head:

Sooo... In other words....

Whassup?

I just watched a documentary on the puppeteer for Elmo the other night. He's a big, tall black dude. With a normal voice. I didn't expect that one at all! Haha

TGIF!

so here's a crazy idea... I'm tired of all my debt, it'll take too long to pay everything off at the rate I'm going. If I sell the MSM and get the BMW to a good shape, I won't have a car payment and will be able to pay everything off considerably faster... I love the car, but I hate hanging on to physical things. I can always get something else later, an NC or whatever...

getting out of debt is far more important than keeping any car IMO... get out of debt, build up funds and you can always buy another miata later...

in fact i MAY know someone interested in yours if you decide to go the route of selling

Yep. He who has missed out on 3 by like... seconds.

I can't really talk about money since I've never been to college (no loans) or make much money but being debt free is a great thing.

My only concern is selling the reliable MSM for the questionable BMW. Is the BMW reliable enough to be your only car? Maybe sell both cars any buy some much more inexpensive than the MSM but newer than the Bimmer?

my thinking is this...

if he has no car payment even if he has to repair the bmw a couple times with bills costing a couple hundred dollars its still a hell of alot cheaper than car payments when you add it all up at years end

if you are truly serious about cutting debt, selling the msm and running the bimmer isnt a bad idea... just make sure you dont spend all the money on the debt, so if something does happen to the bimmer you have cash to pay for it and dont have to add more debt

that's the only thing that keeps me thinking, the BMW has a lot of miles on it, but it feels solid when you drive it. It would need a few hundred bucks for me to feel comfortable with it as a DD, but knowing that I can use that money to pay s*** off is a great feeling. My debt doesn't include college loans, but it does include a wedding, moving to another country, settling in a new country, and all the s*** my ex spent. I'm seriously thinking about this...

Problem is, if I sell both cars, I'll have very little left. I would be able to save, but not but something reliable that doesn't need work. I think the BMW will hold for at least a year with basic maintenance. Phen took it for a drive, what do you think?

I would spend as much as I can on the debt, but if something comes up for the BMW then I won't be worried that I can't pay for it

even if it breaks down once or twice in the year and costs you a couple hundred to fix each time, its still cheaper than car payments for the entire year and allows you to alleviate some of your debt. i say go for it buddy

a buddy of mine in PA, hes tried buying several different MSM's and been screwed by some seriously unfortunate luck in each and every attempt to buy one.....
