The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I have coilovers and I run a great deal of negative cambe, r I do clear 1/8" clearance from the coilover, so no rubbing issues.

what's the offset?

Probably going to paint them anodized orange then. Thanks for all of the info.

On a side note I found these. I don't know much about XXR rims though. I'm guessing they are a cheaper brand, butthey look sick.

what paint are you using? I might try the Duplicolor metal cast orange on the evo wheels.

I use Duplicolor engine enamel a couple times and it's worked pretty well. Nice glossy, smooth finish and thick to boot.

You shut YOUR ***** mouth, MonkeyAssJeans! lulz

I used the Duplicolor Anodized Blue on my calipers and they turned out great. Might be orange as well depending on how itturns out on the track rims. I had to order the paint because no storearound here sells that color. Only blue and red around here. I didn't even realize they had orange untilI went to there website.

I guess I don't get the point of painting track wheels. Is it so that the air isn't disrupted over uneven/chipped sections of paint? Like the same theory for swimmers shaving their bodies?

Or you guys just want your cars to look pretty? :D I think I'm going to leave my FD's nice and ugly just the way they are!

Pretty or course. Plus it makes the MSP look faster than what it really is.

Meh just like everything else, different strokes for different folks. Oh I drove the probe to work today. 45 miles there, 45 miles back. First day was a success. Brakes are just a bit squishy, steering wheels shakes a bit and is a bit crooked when driving straight. Going to look at doing a brake job and getting the car aligned. I also need to figure out if the windshield washer fluid is just not topped off or if the sprayer is not working. Very minor things but overall, I'm satisfied. 90 miles were kept off of the MS3 today. Sorry if I just ranted and raved about myself and my s*** :D

Wes, it's an appearance thing, you wouldn't understand. Clean cars and painted wheels with proper tire fitment. haha.

And Corey, Josh is looking for a 6wagon but only wants to spend ~$8k. Good looking out though, yO!

anyone have a spare headlight for a protege? i had a minor collision with a wall tonight and need a new headlight before i can get out of this ****hole i call home.

bulb or housing? and did the wall just jump up out of no where?

Sounds dumb, like money wasted on things other than go fast parts. :D

It would be the only think on the exterior keeping my car from looking stock and it doesn't cost that much to ratle can some wheels. I think I spend maybe $25 or $30 to paint the RH's I have on to Black. I already have the sand paper and anodized pre coat primer so I just need to purchase the ornage anodized paint.

Just sold the RH's I just bought to my best friend in Oklahoma. I'm going to refinsih them for him and fit them on his Mazda6 when he comes home for a week in March. They were never really intended for me because he was going back and forth between just keeping it stock. He just wanted a rim that looks a little sporty.

Just sent in for all the Mishimoto parts. Hopefully they come in fast so I can fit them all on.

Did you mess up your bumper or just the headlight?

WTF.....why even put an ad like that out there?! Makes me not even want to inquire about it....

But, I probably will. lol

Said info....

Silver
5-speed (stick)
No damage
Original owner
Oil changes every 3000 miles
New clutch (2011)
Brakes (2011)
Roof Rack
Heated Seats
Leather

I told him I only had $8000 to spend, which is a lot off his asking price, so we'll see what he says...

I understand, I was just being annoying. I don't think I'm going to be painting the FD's though. I'd thought about PC'ing them, but not so much after all of this recent talk. They'll just be ugly track wheels!

You should paint them gunmetal or something. Then wash/wax the 626. It would look amazing. For a week... :(
