Yeah, Jeep just needs a buffing or paint. I'm still gonna have it checked out just in case something is off.

I'm just glad I wasn't driving that fast and was able to almost come to a stop before making contact with him. It could have been a lot worse for him.

Yeah, you definitely would've killed him going faster.

Tri-points bar is pretty good, if you go that way then you don't need to upgrade your front bar. The hotchkis (what i have) is more aggressive which is good for auto-x but i've been moving away from that. I say go for the tri-point, it's a great deal for the money.

I like the combo I have, but I'm more aggressive than usual on the corners, my plans are to make her a track car. The Tri-point bar would be better for daily driver with occasional track days

Ya I thought about his since I know he makes really good products (I have his Short Shift Plate), but it's a little bit more expensive than the Tri-Point (On sale for $170). Also, the Tri-Point's is a little bit stiffer.

That's ludicrous to think about grinding stuff off of a <2 year old car... I've accepted it as a reality of having such "old" cars. It's just a pain when I have to grind everything, <font color="magenta">even to change the flippin oil!</font>

Well my car only has 37k miles on it. I lubed up the bushings about 2 months ago since they were making some noise and the end links came loose without a lot of effort.

You'll have to forgive my fellow Protege friend, we have to cut off any old suspension bits to change them. I also thought that too, Nate. Then remembered Evans car is in amazing condition. I was just admiring it this past weekend for the lack of chips, dents and rust.

HAHA! It's weird since I'm used to working on my old Mazda 6 (has 145k when I sold it). Brake pads used to take me 4 hours, on the MS3 it took us maybe 1 hour if that. No rust FTMFW!!!

Speaking of Brake Pads...the Yellow stuff are amazing. I can finally use them hard, I got them warmed up and WOW. It felt like the skin on my face was falling off LOL! Can't wait to feel them Saturday at VIR.

Could you not lock up the wheels with the old ones? The pads shouldn't really increase the effectiveness (brake torque) of your braking system, just reduce fade.

LOL, you guys and your new cars... My RX-7 was manufactured in January 1989 - in three years it will be considered a "classic!" All things considered, I've encountered surprisingly little rust. Must be due to it being a MD/VA car.

But yes, Protege endlinks suck. Even my P5 with ~70k miles on it and no rust required those to be cut off!
