The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I haven't looked into the iphone 6 too much, all I know is the screen size has changed, but I still see no appeal to it, and thats coming from someone who has grown up with nothing but Macs in his house, and who is typing this on a Macbook. Does the iphone 6 have gorilla glass or are there going to be more white girls with cut thumbs?

I seriously don't understand how people break their phones. I'm on my second iPhone, wife's on her third and neither of us have broken the glass in our phones. I drop mine at least once a day too. Boggles my mind.

Speaking of the phones, should be a nice replacement for my 5 but I think they're getting too big. My in-laws have S4s and they feel MASSIVE. I can't imagine trying to use the Plus.

I do like the watch though.

I don't either, 3 phones in 13 years. Still have my razr as a back up but thinking about switching back to it. And I agree with phones are getting to big.

The watch is a cool idea, but I would never wear one.

It's easy when you slam the phone screen-down in a fit of rage. I've damaged my GS3 far more than any phone I've had previously.

I'll never own an iPhone/Apple product. Not because I think they're inferior but because they're more expensive than a similarly-priced and spec'd Andriod/Microsoft/etc. product, and I don't feel like learning another operating system at this point.

About to drop $3K on RX7 parts. Need to sell the 2 to keep things going.

I feel the same way about Windows, not the price side of it, just the different operating system, because I've used Mac my entire life. From what I've seen iphones just break randomly when dropped, I've seen many dropped from different heights with no problem, and I've seen some shatter from like one foot off the ground. But I do like my screen size, 5 inch is perfect. Big enough to see everything I need to see, and still small enough to hold comfortably.

Just a heads up, I will be putting the rx-8 wheels up for sale if anyone is interested. 18x8 50 offset, tires are pretty much done and one has a screw in that can't be patched, TPMS as far as I know (my light was never on) and a can of matching paint.

Unless you get the high end Android devices (which I never did), you're going to run into a lot of problems, especially after updates. I've had an iPhone 4S for a while and have had zero issues with it.

Price wise, its the same or less.
Are they catching up with Android's features? yes, but they're not relevant to me
Also, there is better app support for iOS, as much of a PITA as it is to develop and get approved

I like having the ability to expand my memory after buying a phone. My phone was only $100 thanks to a deal Verizon had that any new smartphone was $100 off or half price or something like that. And it comes with 32 gb onboard, which the standalone phone without contract was either $100 or $200 less than the iphone 5s of equal memory. I'm glad I opted for a phone with expandable storage because I'm currently sitting at like 31 gb full thanks to all of my music files.

that's another thing I don't care about, my phone has 16GB and half is still available, even after installing the Garmin app (maps alone were 1.6GB)

One touched down in Solon I guess. Saw it on the news. Its weird being up this early. I went to a 6:15 work out class and feel really good. (normally work out during lunch) Now I am at work at 7 and will get out even earlier than I normally do. this is great haha.

Another issue, Well I killed the battery in the miata trying to start it but its on the charger now. I am not getting spark and my tester went bad I guess because it doesn't detect anything (tested it and it didn't light up to something I know is getting power). But the miata is not getting spark. I changed out the coilpack to another one and that still didn't do it. Guy I know with a miata that lives in Wadsworth is coming over today to drop off a multi meter to start testing stuff. But the car just keeps turning over. Never starts. Its getting fuel and its turning over enough to start, it just doesn't.

there is only 3 lol. I got them all and cleaned and reconnected them last night and still no money. But if the grounds were bad the car would not turn over at all, correct? The key would just turn and do nothing.

I guess the next question is, are you sure it's spark? Are all the clips on the injectors tight? Is the MAF connection secure? You could be getting fuel to the rail, but no go on the injectors.

didnt you pull the motor on that car??

if so do you have the right wires on the starter and knock sensor. when mine wasnt starting here were a few of the issues...
i found out that we mixed those 2 wires wouldnt let the car start. check all grounds and make sure the cam sensor is in tight, also make sure the crank sensor is properly gapped.

if it cant detect the knock of crank it wont send any spark to the car.... ask me how i know haha
