The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Can't watch at work.

So work is doing a Pelotonia Raffle and one of the items is a Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Shop Tour for 8 people.

Good news, I took the possibly bent wheel to my local tire shop and it is not bent. I'm happy. Now I need to find some tires to put on them and get them on the CX5.

This is for Marlon. I told him I was going inside when I arrived because I didn't want to ignite. I honestly don't think I was in the sun for more than 15 minutes at Montrose Mazda and.. well...

Not even 10 minutes! Damn!!!!!

Mine was good.

Saturday I went to cars & coffee for the first time in a couple years. I showed up a little before 8, turns out no one starts showing up until 9:30 or later now. Didn't get to stay long because I met with Jon and bought the welder. Met a couple RX owners, started talking to one guy and I pointed to my wagon he asked if I was able to go to Nate Fest. That was pretty cool to me, he was very positive about it and is going to try to get more rotary guys to attend next year.

Saturday night went to Home Depot to pick out paint colors. Sunday we went to grandma's and I became an uncle.

Weekend was fun! It was good to see everyone, and the fun run turned out well for those who made it to the meadows portion of it, too much traffic on the other roads unfortunately

Made me want to adjust some stuff. I was sliding and pushing much more than I was expecting I would. Who is up for a smaller group?

What kind of mileage do you MS3 guys get if you're running 80-120ish on the highway for like 2 hours on and off the throttle?

Really bad mileage if going those speeds. I filled up Saturday after the fun run, drove 233 miles, and had to fill up from empty today.

Forgot to mention the Ice Cream meet on Friday night. 6 cars, 8 adults & 3 kids. Nothing big, but the ice cream was good and I got to go to my own event :)

I can get about 20 mpg. That's exactly what I was doing through traffic Sunday to cbus and back.
Surprised our convoy didn't pass you at some point, we did the same thing (went to Cbus). Gray Mazda 3 hatch, Fiat, blue/black 1.6 Miata. We gained a few cars along the way there and back in the convoy, really odd cars to be traveling that fast but whatever lol.

Oooh, they made a new Mad Max movie?

When I was a kid I saw the first one and filled a sketch book of vehicles suitable for another movie. I loved all the crazy engineering and how everything had a big ass super charger. Of course, now this kind of future would probably be filled with fuel sipping Priuses. Which is probably what made everyone go crazy in the first place...

People were either flying or being morons.

I'm not sure of the 80-120 for 2 hours but I would imagine if going 80 for a couple of hours you would get close to 30 MPG. I just got 33 MPG on the trip to NC in the Miata. My average MPG is about 24 for both cars, with mostly city and spirited driving.
