The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Made my wallet a little bit lighter yesterday. Ordered a bunch o s*** for the Civic.

Suspension
Cam seals
VTEC solenoid filter & gasket
Distributor O-ring
Head gasket
Timing belt kit
Wheel bearings for the rear

Time to start wrenching when the parts come in.

I really do need to get back to working on the 6. I did get a YMCA membership last night, wife gets a discount through her work, so I can stop being such a lazy fatass all the time. I do have a feeling that it's going to make me feel even less like working in the yard or on the cars though.

I feel like the last time I saw your 6 running was over at Kevin's parents place shortly after we graduated high school lol

It died 3 years after that, not due to me, but I won't get into it. Now I'm motivated to get it running again to use it as another family car and a better DD than the 7.

what plans do you have for the 6? sorry if I've missed your build thread somewhere.

Finally picked a name, the Cruze shall be called Ethel.

On a side note, it no longer surprises me how stupid people are, its just annoying. Reading comprehension goes a long way.

Does everyone have names for their rides? I don't like to name my cars.

Blown motor turned into a near stock rebuild. Now it won't turn over, and I wonder if the timing chain tensioners need loosened up a bit. I just want to get it on the road, but that involves some time and money after the motor is running again.

I also call her uncivilized, as a pun based on the fact that I'm a civil engineer.

I do not have names for my cars pe se....Spicy, Whitey, Waggin and The Hatch......Pablo, I am calling you Lucy since your car is known as Ethel(Mertz) or we can call you Fred (Mertz)?

I've named a few. More so nicknames than real names.

Civic: Spawn of Satan
MSM: Lindsay
P5: Rust bucket
GTI: "You piece of s***"
Bavaria: Gertrude

This afternoon needs to pick up, I've had it with work today already, I really just want to go home and chill with the little man

Just got a call for an interview from my monster.com account that's at least 3 years old. What makes it more odd is that it's right across the street from the building I work in.

I don't, but my wife has several for the RX7. I think the top two are "ugly" and "waste of money." Then again, maybe that's one name: "ugly, waste of money."
