The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

My uncle has a 2014 Porsche Caman S with paddle shifters. When I drove the car it was pretty sweet. ******* awesome car for 85k and the best handling car I have ever driven.

A base model Porsche for $85k, sure it's the S but still.... back when they first came out the base MSRP was $39,980.

Today is the kind of day I feel like selling all my car crap and leasing something that would be nice to drive year round and can handle some HPDEs, like an STI or an SLK250. Note the word leasing, key feature that would limit spending to winter and summer tires.

I should feel better about having 3 cars in the spring...

Sigh...

I just looked at me W2 from work, it's pretty disappointing seeing how much of my check goes towards health insurance. I need to convince my boss to give me bigger checks.

im sorry to be an ass but you want to LEASE a car and go race it... that sounds like a fantastic idea!!

While most factors are out of my control, I'm only out there having fun, not trying to set any records. If I wreck a lease or what I have now, I'll still owe someone money.

Winter Blues...crappy cold ass weather and gray days, along woth a pending snow storm!

Pablo, I demand that you change your avatar.

I second this demand!!!

Paddle shifters are meh... I drove a 911 at Mid-Ohio that had the PDK and it was pretty darn fantastic. But it takes something away from the driving experience, so I'll take the old fashioned manual any day.

For someone learning to drive on the track the PDK or similar dual clutch box would be ideal, particularly in a faster car. It greatly simplifies the process so you can concentrate on the line and traffic which is most important.

about time? so far I'm getting 215/40/17 Z IIs, unless Phen buys my wheels in which case I'll get a set of TR Motorsport 15x9 with 225/45/15 Rivals
I have a set of slightly used rivals in this size if you're interested lol. I got R1Rs a month or so ago for when they were actually toast.

I need another set of 15x10s for the Hoosiers.

Pablos new grippy tires...
