The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'm not really into them as a hobby, just for self protection. My sister carries since she's a cop and she got me thinking, so I got my CCW and my only gun.

Related to CCW and pistols, is anyone else into other forms of shooting. Sporting Clays/Trap, Long distance, AR's, 3-Gun competition?

I've done some skeet shooting in the past but that's all my gun experience

I love trap shooting, and long range rifes. Thats my likes, shot guns and long range rifes is all I have lol and I'm >21.

Side note, my mom got t-boned the other day and I told her to get a diminished value check from his insurance company. She just paid off the car last month and she was hoping to go a year without a car payment. But the car only blue books for 5k and I think they may total the car. What is the ratio of damage costs to value?

I prefer FedEx over UPS. I've had some issues in the past with UPS and FedEx is generally cheaper for me. Either way both are >>> USPS.

Also may just be looking for a new car for her. I'm trying to get her into a new mazda. She wants a small suv like the cx-5 so I gotta find a nice one for a good price if I am going to convince my dad to have a foreign car in the garage. I guess he doesn't care that domestic cars don't hold their value...

Domestics certainly hold their value now. The Escape has won comparison tests against the CX5. The days of the imports ruling resale is deminishing. The main reason they still carry crazy numbers is due to the uninformed idiots who think hondas are the greatest things ever and never break and that kias are the greatest value out there.

So on the way to work this morning there was some new fancy-pants SUV with a "Keep Calm and Chive On" sticker on the back window. So I yelled "Pretty ******* hard to keep calm when you're going 60 in the left lane, goober!" Then I smiled and said Chive on. He was so confused. haha

i LOVE my rifles. built one that i hunt with and am starting to reload custom loads for, It started life as a Remington Model 7. Also have a good ol Mosin 91/30, thats a fun gun, plus i feel like a badass when i put the bayonet on to shoot at the range hahaha
I used to do trap/skeet/sporting clays bi-weekly with a few buddies, in the fall of 2011 to the fall of 2012. We were forced to quit cause we began having issues finding shells and even struggled getting reloading stuff to make our own.

if anyone is interested I am selling all my grandpa's reloading stuff. Have the reloaders for shot guns (16, 28, 20, 12, 10?) also a s*** ton (like over 5,000) of shells. powder wads the little plastic things. Everything you need at a good price. IF anyone wants to come over and look let me know

Very tempting. Like I said, all these deals keep popping up after I said I'd stop buying gun stuff for a while.

Well I don't know what the stuff is worth and I was told I can have it. Sooooo I need to finish my build and would rather sell it to someone local that wants it.

I forgot I have a ton of brass for like every kind of round if you guys want that too, with powder and led and the melter and molds to make your own rounds
