The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Or... You could just buy a new car every 3-5 years. Mazda and Subaru both offer free towing and roadside assistance for the first 3 years. ;)

Easy for you to say. To the vault for new car money!

I will look into the towing option with my insurance though.

I had the Speed3 towed to the dealership with the Mazda roadside assistance thing.

I used that when mine popped, but I was told they would only tow it to the closest dealer, which was in Columbus. Ted had to take me to the airport to rent a car. Thankfully Sandy was still @ Montrose back then, she had it towed to Parma at no charge to me.

And I don't pay for my AAA membership, so I don't care :)

I didn't think they charged for AA. ;) But yes, towing to the nearest dealership only.

Yeah, Will pointed out for me in about 2 mins of a Google search while I was hunting in Progressive's website for the last half hour, Progressive will only tow your car to a repair facility within 15 miles. And I'm not getting my baby towed to anywhere but my house. haha, so I'll stick with AAA and 100 mile radius.

i don't judge anybody that likes to pay for the peace of mind. i personally, just look at everything logically, and to me, it doesn't make sense. just like extended warranties at electronics stores. if something dies during the first year, its warrantied. If it dies after that, mostly likely its a pile of s*** and I want a different item anyway..

Been skipping through this on and off throughout the day. So weird seeing them drive the opposite way at indy...makes me want the diesel 6 even more though

I'm happy for Mazda that they are continuing to work out the kinks with the diesel technology but, the GX class is a joke. I'd love to see USCR do something to make the GX cars competitive with the current Grand-Am GT cars and combine the two classes for next year.

+1

Think Mazda would ever consider a rotory dp car?

Rotary power is still in use in the Star Mazda championship I believe. It would be awesome, but no I don't see it as being likely. We are stuck with the Mazda6 race car for a while.

There are only 4 cars in the GX class, right? Two other Porsche's and the two new 6's?

1 Porsche, 2 6s.

(For a majority of the races... there were more at Daytona for sure. Maybe more at other places I don't know.)

They just need to put that engine in the production 6. I would definitely buy one if they made it the new MS6. Twin Turbo Diesel AWD MS6?? YES PLEASE!

There will be a big annoucement coming soon, I can't discuss it. I can tell you that the SkyActiv-D has a lot more HP that is being shown currently. It is a distinct possibility that they can make it a part of the new GT Class.

If they make it a wagon, id be insanely happy.

Edit: i just like wagons (theyre versatile). Id rock a CTS-V wagon if i was rich
