It looks like TWM is my only option for the skyactiv short shifter adapter plate. JBR only offers one for the non-skyactiv drivetrains. I'd like to have both a short shifter and the adapter, but a $500-600 is a bit steep. I think the bushings and adapter plate will do the job.

twm AND a plate i think would be too short and would cause issues finding gates when shifting... i think you are best with one or the other not both
I agree. Chippy has the TWM replacement and a shift plate IIRC, might want to get his feedback on the combo.
I have TWM full replacement and SURE Shortcut plate. I personally love it and don't believe it causes any issues
Only trouble I have sometimes is if I go WOT in 2nd gear and try and shift into 3rd while controlling the car ...I end up somewhere between 3rd and 5th resulting in a nasty little grind. This is probably 99.9% driver mod error.
But yes, the gearing is so close together it is tough to get used to. The position of my shifter in 5th gear is very similar to where 3rd gear or even neutral would sit on a stock shifter, if that makes any sense... So there is little travel up top from 1-3-5. It almost feels as if you are constantly putting it in the same spot. I don't know how to describe it in technical terms... sorry

OK, I really like the 6 race car now... I don't know what was with me when I originally saw it.
And, someone made me an offer on my Speed3 which I accepted. We are planning to meet Friday to take care of the paperwork. So only a couple more days of Speed3 ownership (eek2)

Looking at buying my tickets for the wife and I to fly out to Ohio for the Grand-Am race in June. Any recommended hotels near the airport in the Cleveland area? Probably get there on Thursday morning/afternoon, so just need a room for that night.
