Working. Now that I'm finally back in Beijing, I have a weeks worth of work to catch up on in order to make the document submittal dates. Hopefully the preliminary documents that were sent yesterday are good enough that the customer doesn't go absolutely apeshit. The thing that kinda sucks about working with a Vietnamese customer is that if they see something on a schedule, they say they need it. They may not understand what it actually is, or if it provides any benefit... but they need it. I'm going to spend the next 3 weeks arguing, I can see it now.

Simple, just improvising the connector for the head unit to take the signal from an old headphone cable. Instead of the CD ROM cable, you could find the connector that actually goes there, don't know what kind it is though. If you can find the cables he mentioned, just follow the directions for the colors, and test it before you put everything back together to make sure the left and right channels are wired correctly.

What you would have to find out is if your head unit has the same connection, Jon has a Speed6 with a BOSE system, so as long as your radio has the same connection it should work. Otherwise, you would have to verify the pin input on yours.

All Mazda 6's have that connector. You could get this http://www.therpmstore.com/store/p/133-XCarLink-USB-MP3-Player-Integration-Kit-for-Mazda.html and not worry about making that harness. I have one from the same company for my Ipod (http://www.therpmstore.com/store/p/134-XCarLink-iPod-Integration-Kit-for-Mazda.html) that works really well.

$5 vs $125 hmmm.... I'd go for $5, especially since the install takes 5 extra minutes, maybe 10.

That is true, however, you can still use the steering wheel controls with the 125 unit, the $5 unit you only have a volume control.

Either way, both have a much better sound than the damn FM transmitters (I have never had luck with any FM transmitter)
