The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

I want to do the Toledo event, but depends on if I can get that day off or how many points I'll get for missing a day/coming in late...

Here is the Trackcross Schedule @ PIR

Trackcross
About the Program:
Trackcross is an event where drivers are timed from a stand still at the North Track Start/Finish Line and have to maneuver their vehicle through a coned course in Turns 1 through 8. Their run ending at Turn 8 drivers will then proceed to Turn 9 and a Pitt Race Employee will be there to inform you on your run time. Number of runs are based on amount of drivers for that particular day/evening.
Car Requirements:
•All Cars must be in good roadworthy condition (no leasks, broken wheel studs, loose wheel bearings, sticking throttles, poorly operating brakes, etc.) with factory three point seatbelts at a minimum.
•Open / converitbles cars must have some form of rollover protection. A factory hartop or OEM rollover protection as outlined in the owners manual satisfies this requirement.
•Additional safety equipment (rollbars/rollcages, harness systems, fire systems, etc.) is permitted and encouraged. Additional equipment must be installed in a safe manner.

Driver Requirements:
•A state issued driver's license is required
•A helmet must be worn. Helmets must meet Snell approved (SA, M, K, etc. are ok) for the current specification (2010) or two previous (2005 or 2000). Closed face SA helmets are encouraged, but not required. (Helmets are available for rent inside the Pitt Race Proshop)
•Shoes that cover the entire foot must be worn.
•Driver must be licensed and over 18-years old (anyone under 18 require a parental consent form to be signed at registration). Driver also must have a qualified Snell 2000 helmet—rentals are available for the event.
Pitt Race reserves the right to refuse your entry if we feel you or your vehicle is unsafe.

I just got hip to that last year and wanted to try it out. It will be a very short run, but fun. I'd like to try a couple this year. I added the link to the first page. Thanks, funky brotha!

What kinds of speeds are we talking with that deal?

How short of a run?

Maybe we can see if the Pittsburgh boys and girls will come out and play?

Remember that douche in OMS that was asking about how fast were the auto-x runs because he had an MS3 and wanted to go flat out? You kinda sound like that tool bag. haha

It starts at the start/finish line and ends at turn 8 so it will be rather quick.

Ouch, that's a low blow Mr. Evan.

It just doesn't sound like the run of the mill "2nd gear and steer" type autocross so I was curious.

I'm only teasing because I was posting as that douche. That was Jakes troll account. lol!

I love it when the autox thread gets attention. I can't wait for spring! Really now that I have something to have fun in!

Nah, I was trolling Will on the OMS page last summer. That dude talking s*** in the 2 was a total hard ass douche until the very end when he was leaving and finally admitted defeat. But it was his first auto-x so I couldn't really gloat. I was trying to be funny, have a friendly competition and talk s*** but jokingly. It was all serious business for him. Um, okay then. But that was a fun day too. I think you NEOhio guys would like the skid pad at PittRace for auto-x, it's very smooth and only 1.5 hours from me in Akron. I'd like to setup an auto-x day out there and invite the Pitt guys.

I'm in. I will take any sort of driving event at the moment. I am dying a little inside over here

Trackcross looks like part of a license test on Gran Turismo. Looks like fun.

Why are you on a Wednesday?? (lol2)

I wonder how much this would cost, and how may times you get to run.

I'm so confused! When was I being trolled?

I saw that track-cross last year and I was interested. However, they had them on weird week days and I didn't want to call off.
