If you aren't nervous before getting on track, you should not be on track! I get nervous everytime! I remember the first time @ Mid-Ohio running with NASA, I was nervous as hell. so focused on hitting my marks and being smooth, I forgot to do the most important thing!?! Breathe!!!!! I hae talked to a number of the pros and they get nervous while they are sitting on grid, whether it be a race or a practice session....I do understand that overwhelming concern about something happening to your car while on trac as I have seen many expensive cars get totaled, BMW's. Vettes, Lotus's, Maserati........I have peace of mind, as I do purchase HPDE Insurance, car is paid in full, etc.
