THE OFFICIAL "Traveling Mazda Flag" thread! :D

Ah Red Rocks, I LOVE that place :D Ive seen NIN play there twice! :D Yeah, feel free to keep the flag for another week but just remember that others are waiting for this thing. We need to keep it moving so please please please get it out asap!

As for the list, I've done some thinking and its going to stay the way it currently is.....

Cool. The flag is in my possession (thing is frickin HUGE). Was not defaced in any way yesterday, and if anyone tries that crap atop Pikes Peak, I'll throw them off the mountain myself. LOL.

We have a good group here--won't get messed up. And as soon as we shoot it (next Sunday), either I or Albert will have it in the mail the next day to the next person.

Going to post the cellphone pics in the photo thread now...actual DSLR pics will follow.

*Edit: MSP beat me to it! That's our little group...we're a good-lookin bunch, aren't we? :)

Nice pictures, looks like you all had a decent turnout for the meet!

Yeah, not bad. Ten cars and probably 13-14 people.

The first pic with all the cars is awesome.

Even though the Gen 2 on the end got cut off, that wide angle shot is nice. All you see of me, though, is my butt hanging out of the gray 3 as we try to find the owner's keys and turn off her damn ALARM!

Stick me on the list please. No one has stepped up here in Idaho, and he have a pretty big community of Mazda owners here.

HighwayUFO Caldwell, Idaho.

You can guarantee that there will be a huge Mazda meet here once I know the flag is on it's way.

Well, it took some effort, folks, but we got it photographed atop Pikes Peak today. Let me tell you, we took 50% attrition to get that shot, too. Started out with 2 MS6s, an FC RX-7, and custom turbo'd Miata. My MS6 was the first to die, overheating at 8000 feet. Neither fan will come on, so I have to take it in. My passenger and I piled into the other MS6, and at about 10K feet, the RX-7 overheated and had to turn back. At that point we discovered bulging tires on the second MS6, so even though we limped up, only the Miata made it up without issues.

Still, we got a pic of the flag at the summit, and will have that on here as soon as possible.

Now...I have to figure out why the HE** my fans don't come on. I did manage to limp home with no further overheating, but ARRRGH!!!!

Waiting on word from Albert (JDMSP) on whether I'm mailing to the next person or getting it back to him so HE can do it. He didn't tell me who's next, though, so I can't mail it.

OK, here are the remaining pics. At Garden of the Gods:

And on Pike's Peak itself:

Notice the coolant running from under the FC lololol. That's at about 10K feet.

I will mail the flag to the next person on the list Wednesday if I haven't heard from Albert.

In the meantime, let's see another club top 14,110 feet for their photo! :D
