The Moderately Low (Not Slammed) and Functional Thread

sold them haha

as much as i loved them i hated they were so damn heavy and the OZ's are substantially lighter (8lbs per wheel) plus i had the ms6's for 2 years and just wanted something new haha

why thank you :)

oh crap... how heavy are the ms6 ones? oh and btw... looks sexii how it stands now

the ms6's were like 24.2 or 24.3 per wheel, the OZ's are under 16 per wheel :D

and thanks, she looks pretty good haha,

this winter i want to refinish the OZ's is i bought them black and the paint quality was pretty poor, i did a quick respray silver but now i want to respray silver with a black metallic clear coat (going for a shinka-esque type finish)

who said i was doing a rattle can job? haha

Ahhh, so you're gonna get them done professionally w/ automotive paint? (I assume since you said it would get a clear coat)

I think I'm gonna PC mine in the spring... I'll have to see how money is after I get a bunch of other things done, tho. May have to wait...

i got a buddy who's dad finally got his booth up and running, hes willing to teach me how to properly paint everything in the booth all i have to do is buy the paint and buy him a case of beer... haha

if that falls through then i will likely rattle can them but if you've seen the finishes on my other wheels ive painted, i can do a pretty damned good job with rattle cans haha

Wow, thats deals. And ya, I assumed you would rattle can, since you have done so with very good results in the past.

Wanna practice on my Ultra's in the booth? I just need 'em done up in matte or semi gloss black...I will prep them, just need the paint shot. How much do you think the paint would cost to go with high quality auto paint? I'll buy the case of beer too--send some Great Lakes Brewery out your way...

I plan on just rattle canning them. Oh, and I bet you can find the black metallic clear coat somewhere in a spray can. I would try it, especially because I want to do my winter wheels magnesium blue next time I paint them--bright blue with a blue metallic clear coat...

^^^^Well now you and Marc have chimed in with some success stories. Always good to learn these things as it could save $$$$ down the road. You are right though....it's about the research. Guess my bias comes from seeing/hearing a lot of people (in general...not specifically on this forum or others I frequent) complain about price so they buy the cheapest tire they can find...period.

Yeah I had a good look before I purchased, mine are based off Michelins, and for $380 + shipping, they have outlasted my initial intentions :D

Automotive grade paint is about $40 per pint usually. And magnesium blue is an epic color. Good choice!

what year honda accord is that lip on the black mz3 that is sold i know they fit but what year i am thinking like 99

Would a pint cover it? I may just do rattle... And yes I'm pumped to try for a magnesium blue look on the stockers once the lime green wears off!

Yea. Motor and tranny need a rebuild. Not to mention electrical issues and needs a tune. I dont even know what was done to the motor to even tune it.
