Look at the big picture. If she wants certain things(BMW) just so she can say she has it, then if you every get engaged she will want a certain size ring, house, and spening budget; just so she can say she has it. Seems high maintenance to me.

I would say its easy..but personalities have to match too...cant just be hobbies..how could you possibly build a relationship based SOLELY on hobbies??
and yes, enjoying the hobby/interest together is beautiful. you learn a lot about a person while doing stuff of the sort.

This girl sounds like this girl I was about to go on a date with.
When I talked to her on the phone it was something like this:
her - "I heard you have a yellow car, what is it!!?"
me - "I have a Protege5"
her - "Oh... yeah... when they told me you had a yellow car I figured it would be an S2000 or a Protege5"
She wasn't sarcastic when she said that... was just trying to change her expectations on the fly a bit.
Needless to say, we never went on that date... I couldn't stand talking to her, no matter how hot she was.
