Agreed. Seriously, even if you don't make it to Eagle Scout, the Boy Scouts is a great place to learn pretty much all of these Manly tasks posted in this thread.
I learned to change a flat, check oil, change oil, and all sorts of things when I got my Automotive Repair merit badge. The camping, wilderness survivial, and outdoor activities go with out saying of course. The BSA teaches common sense, team work, and moral values. Things you don't necessarily learn in school.
I hate it when people start dissing the BSA because they saw on the news some troop in Texas wouldn't let a female become scout master or a gay parent wasn't allowed to participate. I will admit that there are some hardcore scouts out there that take things way to seriously...but for the most part, it's just a bunch of boys having fun and learning new things.
