The luck of Bob seems to be moving east.

Going to work today on a dark and rainy morning, I notice a tractor-trailer flashing his lighes at the big string of cars heading west...I was in the middle of the string. Knowing this means either a cop or trouble ahead, we all began to slow down. This is going down a 3 lane raod with no turns and lots of visibility. I didn't notice any flashing lights. Keeping a very safe distance between the Mercedes in front of me I noticed another tractor-trailer heading east hit something and a loud bang resulted. I swerved to the right as the boulder (about 12" in diameter or so) that he hit exploded. It missed the Benz, but a large piece hit the side of the bumper cover and drivers rear door. Paint and plastic gouges in the bumper cover and two dents in the door.

Oh well, at least it didn't come through the window. Just called my insurance company they said this is a comprehensive claim and I don't have a deductable...the only good thing about this.

Hopefully this is the end of the bad luck...we are going to the race in the Poconos and don't need any there.

Thanks for listening...venting helps

sorry to hear about your damage...but personally...if I had a choice....I would rather it had hit the glass.....easier to fix, not as expensive...and it leaves NO forign objects attached to my car, SPELT BONDO. :{D

You have NO deductable? So repair is paid by insurance completely?

Sorry to hear about the damage.

Yep 0 deductable. It only cost about $25 every 6 months more than having a $500 deductable. For me it is worth it, we go through a lot of windshields...lots of coal trucks here. I was suprised they said it was not collision damage.

Very true there SirNuke...I was just thinking about how the rock would affect the part in my hair...I think it would have left a dent then it just wouldn't look right. :D
