I applaud the efforts from GM, I am not going to spit hatred at this car especially since it is so very capable. I predict within 3 months we will see an announcement from GM/Saturn that there will be a REDLINE ASTRA aka ASTRA VXR, which is a bad boy in the UK. GM is finally listening to the public and putting out proper products. However I still love my speed3, I just love the idea of competition in this segment of the car market.
I think the next one to watch is Hyundai, the new Genesis platform will be a screamer if the aftermarket picks up on it.

WOW some of you guys are REALLLLY hung up on the whole "its a few tenths faster". If the Speed3 was a 2 door they would both probably have identicle speeds.
And sorry but if you bought the speed3 only because of its 1/4 mile time then feel free to trade it in.
When its all said and done, and they soon will say and do it all in a comparo, im sure the speed3 will come out on top. And if it doesnt oh well. In the car industry being on top for 2 straight years is one hell of an accomplishment.

Cobalt SS > MS3? Nah, it might be .3tenths faster in the 1/4 stock but that doesn't make it own a MS3.

I don't know.. All the negativity on this forum has me seriously thinking about trading this thing in the near future. All this s*** about it being a FORD and Motor's blowing up, Transmissions crapping out, etc. Just sucks to buy a new car and have to worry about something breaking so easily. Maybe I'll just get a BMW 335i and call it a day

interior does suck really bad...crappy lookin plastic, awkward seats, i am DONE with two doors i hate letting people in/out of the back seat...also the two cars are kinda in a different class coupe vs hatch....and if you notice what the review says there are a LOT of things they mention that are options sooo im guessing that it might come out more expensive than the ms3..eh? eh?

LOL, that would be me! LOL a good debate is worth it every now and then. I actually welcome other players in the sport compact market. I think it will only push the aftermarket harder for platforms like ours.
