I'm glad that chevy is upgrading their cars, because they always look like s*** to me. ....

Every time I look to buy a car, I look at the japanese brands, I don't even remember that there are domestic cars out there. If I was going to trade in my ms3, more than likely it would be for the new Lancer Rallyart.

Well my ugly ass Chevy will ensure your MS3 gets a wake up call any day of the week....


Is it just me or am I thinking: shifting in 1/10th of a second... dont think that can happen in an MS3....they claim their hottest shoes can do it in 1/10th...wonder if the Cobalts shifter is stock short shift

Lol, believe me I'm NOT a fan of vettes. I know they're crazy fast, but if I had the money, I'd buy something else even if it is slower.

After riding in a Z06 vette, I'd buy a vette in a heartbeat. WHAT A FREAKIN RUSH.

The looks won't get old anytime soon either. But who am I kidding, all I've ever wanted is a G35 coupe.

MS3>Cobalt SS...However, I do like it. Besides wifey + 2 kids=No 2 doors and I don't like the look of the 4 door Cobalt to much....

the 4 dr cobalt is ugly. period. At least the coupe has somewhat handsome looks. The 4dr SS will be a sleeper for sure but I would not buy it based on looks alone. The shape is just too utilitarian and unappealing.

Yeah I read this part twice. It sound pretty nifty. But it would be bad if you learned it as a first car and thought all car where the same. LOL can you BOOM!

Mazda is known for doody trannies unfortunately(i've been though 3). I wish they joined with Honda to design something better. Yet no-one has blown an MS3 tranny from what I know so far.

I doubt adding an intake to a Cobalt SS would have the same kind of massive effect as it does with the MS3. If Mazda would have made the MS3 standard with a SRI of some kind we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

People that are serious into racing these cars don't leave them stock anyways so this whole thing about the Cobalt SS being a couple tenths faster in the 1/4 means dick.

MS3 stock air box = extremely restrictive.

This car & ours will still lose to the STI & EVO X..unless we spent an insane amount of money...

But you know what? Its still a fast ride. Be happy it's faster then alot of car's that cost WAY more the our's does. i.e BMW 128i 328i 528i & Benz c class whatever.
I'm happy with my pic. You should be 2! You have nothing to worry about. People will still remember the way your tail lights look like when your thousands of feet on front of them.

Now theres a choice. Fast wagon, Fast coupe. I currently own a sunfire (slow version, and old now). And was very dissaponeted by the old SS.

I still wont get this one, since it so similar looking. But good for chevy for making a decent sport compact!. Better then that dodge pos caliber.

Only problem I see for the mspd... is now you'll have to pay attention to those cobalts... might get suprised and one will actually put up a fight.

15,000 miles I Blew mine . probably something to do with mis-shifts and don't worry the cobalt will probably do the same . Even WRX's and STI's have problems. Ever heard of the infamous 2nd gear shatter ? These cars are in a whole new ball park and it doesn't seem like they are engineering transmissions that can deal with the torque . But if the MS6 tranny can hold maybe mine can if I learn how to shift this thing .

BTW I think the cobalt is awesome and I like the way it looks . Good to see another good ole' American compact that might be as Brutal as the old SRT 4's
but i'm happy with my hatchback : )
