The infotainment system sometimes just scrolls on its own

Sometimes after I start the my 2019 cx 5, my infotainment system runs through the FM stations or through my menus like there is a stuck button. Then it resolves after 30 seconds.. Has this happened to anyone else? This has been going on since I bought it. Not sure if it's a known glitch or not.

You have what it's called ghost touch. I've had it on my previous car and fixed it by replacing the monitor.

Went to get an oil change today and told the service guy that we had the ghost touch issue and I showed him the class action card we got. He said that was no problem and they'd done a bunch already, but that Mazda wanted to charge a $50-100 co-charge. I thought the whole point was that this was free? Anyone get there's changed under the warranty extension deal and did you get a charge for it? If so, how much?

It's going in next week, so I want to be armed in advance. Thanks

You need something like this. I bought it from ebay and replaced it myself. If you’re willing to spend more money, you can alway buy it brand new from the dealership.

I just disconnected the ribbon cable that goes from the unit to the display. It disables the touchscreen and you have to use the Command Knob from then on. No biggie, my seat is all of the way back and I can't reach the touchscreen anyway.
