i actually wouldnt mind hearing that myself. if it gives off anything raspy i'll never get a header. main reason why i dont want one. if it sounds good i might reconsider

Yeah, that's exactly the exhaust I had in mind.
The Mazdaspeed Axelback Sport Exhaust for the P5 paired with headers, an infamous combination that apparently is rare to find in a vid.

Took off the Mazdaspeed axleback and was curious to see how no axleback would sound. I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm gonna keep it like this for awhile. The clip doesn't give it justice, it sounds like a Subie.

no muffler or just an axel back? i can understand losing back pressure without a muffler but the axleback doesnt affect anything at all other than sound.

That's what I was thinking, it's less than 4 feet of piping.

well i did it. i sort of prefer the muffler on there. its sounds good without but bleh. did you leave the pipe hanging or did you fasten it to something somehow?

I zip tied it to the subframe. I really like how raw it sounds.

yea that i did like. i got stares left and right. but for some reason i preferred the muffler on there. maybe im just used to it? it did sound good though especially at low rpm

Ebay headers and 2.25 straight pipe with a 2.75 tip.

Ill try and put up a vid tomorrow.

lol, did the whole muffler-less thing today, it sounds....GOOD. oh and matt the zip-ties dont melt?
