The age and previous cars thread

And how old are you now? Those are some nice cars for first and second..... spoiled much :)?

26 yrs old and hardly spoiled, I had a well paying job in highschool, college and now and have bought all of my cars with my own money. Bought the 240sx when I was 18, the evo when I was 21, the BMW when I was 23 and the MS6 when I was 25.

After a long summer job at my dad construction company i got my first whip

1. 1995 BMW M3
Before
<a href="http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/?action=view&current=100_1246.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/100_1246.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

After me and my dad put work into it :)
<a href="http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/?action=view&current=100_1285.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/100_1285.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/?action=view&current=100_1290.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/100_1290.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

suprisingly after 4 months i sold it with some profit

2. 2003 Volkswagen Gti 1.8t

this pic below is not of my car however, thats exactly how my baby looked when i got it.

<a href="http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/?action=view&current=volksgti.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/volksgti.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

again after i put work into it (lowered, cat back, front and rear lips, rims) etc.

<a href="http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/?action=view&current=img3255vf5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/img3255vf5.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

so after that i saved up for my first motorcycle

3. 2001 Suzuki Gsxr 750

<a href="http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/?action=view&current=0120101450.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/0120101450.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

after 3 months of riding

<a href="http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/?action=view&current=P1013647.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/P1013647.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

then I sold my car and bought

4. 2007 MazdaSpeed 6

<a href="http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/?action=view&current=0116101631a.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a130/CoDeReD755/0116101631a.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

And NOW i sold the bike, and will be paying off the ms6 asap....so around a year and it should technically be mine :)

Before u say im spoiled please know me. :)

I guess I'm old at age 43. So, I've had a lot of cars and trucks. This thread really took me back through memory lane. Sorry for all the pics, but these are some over the years that I've really spent a great deal of time and money making my own. These are only the ones of which I had pics. There were more...

I just had a nice little accident a little back on a gsxr 750. Im scared of bikes now haha

I'm 21 and an Air Force ROTC cadet. Im about a year away from commissioning.

Cars I've actually owned:
1987 Chevy R10 Silverado -- Named her Heidi cause she is reliable and pretty, like a good bavarian woman ?? haha i dunno. Had her since I was 15. I can fix anything on this truck with the tool kit I carry around. Only has 130,000 miles and runs great.
15840_368456755383_693095383_10137983_7651509_n.jpg

2007 Mazdaspeed 6 -- bought it with my Lt. Loan. I wanted something with better mileage that didnt require me to tinker with it to keep it in tip top shape.

Cars I've owned, but were bought as toys or given to me:
1978 Chevrolet Caprice -- Named it bertha...cause its huge. Sat in my grandpa's ard under an oak tree for years. He didnt wanna spend money to get it running the way it looks so I took it off his hands and sold it for 3,000.
n693095383_3066249_3299.jpg

1991 Honda CRX -- Bought it for 150 from a friend who was moving in HS. Had a fried clutch and cracked head. fixed those things then sold it the same semester for 700 to a friend who was into JDM tuning. He replaced the D15 with a H22 and a turbo or something like that. Then when he was changing the fuel pumps out he dropped a shoplight into the tank and it went up and burned down his dad's shop (and the 1970 Olds 442 455 hurst that was sitting in it).

Im not the old guy, thats my dad lol.
n693095383_1528547_104.jpg

1971 VW Type 1 Beetle with a truck bed on it -- held it for my GF at the time and got it firing on all 4 cyclinders. Hilarious little car, gets peace signs, waves, and thumbs up everywhere it goes.

I'm Walt and I'm 24 (25 next month. Woot)

1991 Geo Storm GSi (black - manual)
- Very first car. I had her for all of four months, until I wrecked her on the way to a military formal. Sad day for all. Tried to impress a girl, ended up having my dad, stepmom, and baby sister bring her to the place. :(

1989 Ford Escort (green - manual)
- The car was unbreakable. She was there for the interim, until I got the next one.....

1998 Chevy S-10 (white - manual)
- Bought this truck with 145k on the odo. Traded her in for the MS6 with 255k after 5 years. Truly indestructible. I moved most of my friends with the thing. There are times where I miss her.

2006 Mazdaspeed6 (BCM - manual)
- My graduation/commissioning/birthday present to myself. And I love her. :D

@hund:

Congrats on being close to the commission. Life in the "real Air Force" is a lot different than in the cadet corps. Do you know what you're gonna be doing yet?

Kamikhazi,
I have an idea. I've gotten a CSO slot and I'm an alternate for a Pilot slot (there are 60 alternates nation wide and I'm not sure where I am on that list lol). Uhh, So if I dont get the pilot upgrade that'll mean pensacola for me after Riddle lol. Ohh no Florida! haha. What about you man, I see your in Minot, are you USAF?

I am. I'm a missileer for Big Blue. And they treat O-1s like s*** in P'cola. Something about the Navy not trusting people until they grow beards on ships and s***.....

/threadjack.

21 years old.

2004 Dodge Stratus SE (good god did I do some stupid s*** in that car) - totalled

1999.5 VW Jetta 2.0 n/a - totalled by illegal mexicans - no license, no insurance, no registration & I get nailed with a failure to yield ticket, tho they were going 50+ mph in the center lane. FML

1996 Ford Taurus GL - biggest POS evar. Fought to get $750 for her lol

2007 MS6. This is the first car I've actually bought on my own.

My cars progressively got shittier till I had saved up enough to be able to afford the MS6. You know, insurance companies really screw you over when your car gets totalled. Bought the Strat for 15k, they gave us 9k. Bought the Jetta for that they gave us 4k.

How the heck did you total it? I came very close to totalling my last car. I left a go kart place. I apparently still thought I was in one and though my handling skills were superb. Took a sharp turn off late at night going 50mph and understeer towards a brick wall. I was able to get the car from plowing into it and over corrected. Then oversteered. I couldnt get that thing back in control and slammed into a ditch on the other side. Thank god no one was in that lane. Probably the stupidiest thing I have ever done driving. The speed6 wont even take that turn now going 35.

Stratus - 1am. At a stop sign. Looked left, no headlights, looked right no headlights. Started pulling out to make a left turn and by the time I realized it there was a pair of headlights right there. Hit the front driver's side quarter panel so hard my car spun 90 degrees into the curb and when the car hit it, it lifted up.

Jetta, same damage but it was like noon and heavy ass traffic. 8 lane road. Red light so traffic was stopped. I needed to make a left turn so I was patiently waiting to just get into the center lane. People waved me thru so I proceeded. The last vehicle before the center was a huge Escalade so when I was getting in the center lane I didn't see the idiots hauling ass down the center lane way before the turn lane began. Hit the drivers side front quarter panel.

No clue how I came out literally unscathed in any way from either or those.

Age: 29

First car: 1993 Subaru Impreza hatchback. 1996-1999

Second car: 1995 Acura Integra. 1999-2003

Third Car: 2004 Nissan Sentra SER Spec V. 2004-2007

Fourth Car: 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 (Obviously). 2007-Current

The Integra was the biggest piece. The Sentra was cheaply made. The speed6 is by far the best car I've owned.

I'm 28

1987 S-10 Blazer (sold)
1991 Honda Accord LX Sedan (Axle bent sliding into a ditch)
2000 Honda Accord EX Coupe V6 (traded in)
2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan Loaded(pop up nav!!) (traded in)
2006 MS6 (wanted AWD and got a great deal)and wifes 2007 Nissan Xterra

I'm 20 years old.

First car at 15, was a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado
eldorado.jpg

I then got a 1991 Dodge Stealth (no pics), got it for 15 dollars (probably not allowed to post the story on this forum). It had 3 flats, transmission just did not work at all (auto). Got rid of it in a week.

Soon after I spotted my dream car and bought that, 1987 Camaro Z28 (still 15 years old)
camaro.jpg

Car was totaled on a curb. Insurance money bought this POS 1986 Trans Am
trans.jpg

Got rid of that car, too many problems. Bought a 1997 Cadillac Seville. Fast car, comfy too.
seville.jpg

Too many problems with the Seville, needed a car ASAP...I was 18 by then, had barely any credit. Long story short I got screwed and bought a 2004 Dodge Stratus from a buy here pay here place for 12gs. It had 100k on it.

No pics, sorry.....generic blue stratus lol

Got sick of driving auto, wanted a new reliable car...interest rates were too high on older cars so I bought a brand new 2010 Toyota Corolla S, LMAO!!!!!! What a friggin moron I was, at least it was a 5 speed though.
IMG00097.jpg

3 months later I said screw it, I wanted a dream daily driver (manual, AWD, turbo, leather, mid-size). I've seen the speed6s on my manual AWD searches in Autotrader, fell in love, but could NEVER find the right one for the right price. Blah blah, bought my speed6, favorite car so far actually ( I LOVED my Camaro, too)
