I wonder if these people realize that without our soldiers they might not be here to have the freedom to hate on homosexuals?
I still don't get why the ACLU thinks it is a good idea to support these sick bastards. They are the most hateful people I've come across in a long time.
the ACLU is for anything ANTI-GOD, ANTI-AMERICAN...but if people under a "Christian" banner do things like this, they will trade sides. As a Christian myself i am sickened. I am a member of a church with ALOT of service men and vets...and we pray for those who serve (thanks Leppy). people like this make people like us look bad.
So I haven't read all of the posts that were made in this thread, so if Im repeating something that was already said, forgive me. Now as a Christian, and a military service member, these people sicken me. They have severely missed the point. Yes, the Bible does say that homosexuality is "detestable" (Lev. 18:22*). I feel the same way. But, I would never even come close to entertaining the thought of protesting/denying the right of my fellow brother-in-arms to be buried with honors for his service to this country, regardless of his personal choices/preferences. <O</O As Christian's our only job is to show the loveof Christ to the people around the world, and protesting anything "in the name of God," is a stupider idea then throwing a dead pig out of a helicopter over Mecca during Ramadan and expecting to fly away unharmed. If we would just show love to people it is my belief that God will show those same people what he does and doesn't approve of.<O</O As services members our job is to protect and serve the interests of this nation. For some of us it means standing a lot of watches and putting up with a lot of politics, for others it'll mean giving part of yourself for your countryman, and there will be an honored few who will give their life to the service of this nation. Who is anyone to spit on the grave of those people that died for the cause of protecting our nation? <O</O Now, the Bible says nothing about honoring fallen soldiers, but it does speak of morning the dead (a weak example of this point can be found in John 11:1-44**). I apologize for not being able to point to versus that clearly illustrates this point, my Bible knowledge is not were I'd like it to be. <O</O I do know that the 21 gun salute is carried from tradition when it use to take 20-30 minutes to reload, so thus by firing all "21 guns" you were rendering yourself defenseless for a period of time as a sign of peace. It's a great way to honor those who died for peace, so peace should be carried by there grave. No one would put up with protesting at Arlington National <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
Arlington</st1laceName> <st1laceName w:st=" /><st1laceType w:st="on">Cemetery</st1laceType> or even at <st1:City w:st="on">Gettysburg</ST1</st1:City> so why would we put up with it anywhere else?<O</O Anyway, I'm done ranting now. Just felt I had to share my .02. Thanks for listening. <O</O
that was beautifully written and worded. thank you for everything you do. and i find these actions to be destable on the part of these protesters. they should be denied the right to protest, and to live imo
