Texas Point System

I saw another member state that we did not have a point system. However, as of Sept 1st of last year, we do. It's been all over the news here lately.

Just to put this all into perspective, my aunt got a drunk driving ticket after she totalled her car, and not only did she have to pay all the fees in that article, plus lawyer fees, but now she pays a little over 7k every 6 months for insurance. (omg) SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS EVERY SIX MONTHS!!! (omg) And she drives a hyundai. And thats not ever going to go back down. (read Permantly Broke) Quite the risk to take...

Keep in mind, though, that the point system not only covers DUI/DWI offenses but regular moving violation tickets. Time to slow down.
