Testing new NO CEL method on catless cars

No. It'll pass if they connect to the car's computer and find no CEL reading. It might pass if they do a visual and they don't know the car has 2 cats. It will NOT pass a sniffer test. So make sure you keep the stock parts if you're worried about sniffer tests.

The beauty of the nonfouler fix is that you can replace the stock header and there is no sign of any tampering in case there's a warranty issue coming up.

How many miles should you ride before the CEL comes off, cause i just got done installing it, and i rode around for about 10 miles. And the CEL is still on. Should i reset the computer as well, cause i didnt do that. thanks

yes you must reset the ECU. Disconnect the negative cable on the battery and hit the brake a few times. You wanna make sure all the electricity is out of the circuit. Then plug it back in and you're good to go. You should always reset the ECU after installing a major performance part like this anyways so the computer can "re-learn" the fuel maps and adjust for the added power/efficiency.

As for mileage, generally after 100 miles, you know you're safe. I think some have had the CEL pop on after 120. I have driven mine about 80 now with no problems!

did mine a coupe days ago after 80 miles threw the cel again. But i was using only one of the non foulers and it was real cold out prob around 40F im going to try again with both.

Yeah mine came back on again too.

Either i have something else wrong with the car..doubtfully, well maybe. i dont know maybe. But does the CEL/MIL fix have anything to do with it as well. Cause i did that to. But it still throws it on.

ok so you reset the ECU and it's still throwing a CEL?

You have BOTh non=fouler and mil eliminator fixes on?

That might be the problem - you might need only one or the other. OR the ECU didn't fully reset - make sure there is NO electricity left in the circuit once you've disconnected the negative terminal on the battery. A good indicator is lights not coming on anymore and perhaps even radio stations being reset after re-connecting the battery. A possible 3rd could be the sensors not being plugged in properly...

might be the sensor not pluged in all the way, but i did reset the ecu, and tapping on the brake a couple times to get all the electricity out.

I used only one non-fouler on the 2nd O2 bung. Still no codes after about 1000 miles. I used to throw them about every 80 miles or so.

In Virginia they have strict emissions testing (sniffer)...My car has the JDM FS-ZE in it which isnt supposed to pass...now it has the header and 1 cat and still passes the sniffer test.

So it should pass the sniffer unless your state or country has even stricter rules.

No offense, but if you didn't know you have 2 sensors you really shouldn't be messing with you car.

No offense, but there's a reason I ask questions, because I don't know and i'm learning...sorry everyone is not born with a complete knowledge of cars like some people.

I'm not slamming you. Just recommending you find someone to show you how its done before you make a costly mistake.

blah, i didnt know we had 2 o2 sensors til somebody told me. You will be fine. Just keep asking questions MOST people here are glad to help.

which is the 2nd o2 bung?

I am looking at on on ebay for $190 and I dont want to keep throwing codes.
Thank you

I got a Ractive header, and had a local muffler shop throw in the o2 sensor bung, install the o2 with the non-foulers and clear the CEL from the computer for 25 bucks. I got home, found it was intalles at a jacked up angle and was sticking out. I took off on of the non-foulers, and will see. It seems a couple other guys have gotten away with 1 non-fouler, so I am hoping I will have the same results.

I got a CEL using 1 non-fouler after 500+ miles. I had gotten cheapo gas outof necessity, and 50 miles later, it came on. I did the battery disconnect trick to get rid of the light, and willl see how it goes. I may just have to deal with it sticking out under my car a little bit if it comes back on.
